I agree with what I read; saddened by the unBiblical use of credit, and yes, the house of cards will one day fall. Here's good advice: get out of debt ASAP!

Having looked over the indices I think I'm going to park it on the sidelines for a while. Things are not making much sense to me. Today the VIX put in a low that has not been matched since 1995. So taking on long positions to me is not the prudent thing for me to do. I do think we are in a day traders market now. All good things must come to a end, but when is the million $ question. Only open position right now is MDF. I don't think my target on this will be hit, but I'll keep an eye on it.

Runner, Newborn, I concur. Terrible day for stocks. I actually bought two though, and made a slight (<$100) profit between the two. We'll see what happens tomorrow, though.

Newborn, I read in the IBD weekly that today's volume spike was due entirely to the rebalancing of the Russell 2000. Otherwise, the volume associated with today's crappy market was very tame.

Can any market expert on here confirm or refute that reasoning?

Well, all the volume was red, so it sure wasn't buyers moving the market. The TSX is also very low volume.

Longer perspective on the $compq. (monthly chart) This very same set up gave good warning signal for entry long, but hey who knows right? Maybe the compq will climb to 5100. Should we be loading up? Or should we be shorting? What do you think???
