I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Lyehopper, I would appreciate some confirmation of your pick. I will place you in CA$H if I do not hear from you. If you confirm your pick, I will give you the opening price today. I do not appreciate the lack of communication on your part. You have to be more specific in your pick.
What pick?.... I don't remember making my pick yet Peanuts. I simply stated (in response to Ski's question) that I was "planning" on playing FORG, but it was already taken (this post was directed to Ski and not you).... I think Skiracer then picked FORG for me (out of the goodness of his heart) but I see nothing in your rules that allows for that. If Ski can put me into a stock then why not let him pick for everyone? So I don't exactly follow you here dude.... btw, I'm not in ca$h yet either.... As I have until 3:59 PM EST today to make my decision.... I think? Right?
So you should not have an "appreciation" problem with me....LOL!.... Your beef is with Sir Skiracer. But technically he did nothing wrong, he just was presumptuous, but I see no presumptuousness rule listed in the current POTW rules either.

I guess we're in for a rule change, then

GOOG LONG! That's cheating! Getting a $200 pop out of a stock ain't fair! (unless the stock is mine).
Thompson Financial has them projected to earn $2.90 per share.
Yes, 2.90 would be nice.
That would be a 10.7% Q-over-Q increase and 88.3% Y-over-Y.
It would give GOOG TTM EPS of $10.30 and a P/E of 48.14 based on Friday's close of $495.84.
And when you consider it's projected to earn $14.06 per share in 2007 (36.5% increase over '06), a 48 multiple is not too expensive for this stock, which has exceeded the street's projections 9 times out of 10 so far.
I like it.
Edit: By the way, NBB, where do you come up with the "$200 pop"? (Not that there would be anything wrong with that ...)

I see what your plan is... You're trying to lose all of your money before anyone else.

Peanuts,
You had asked for suggestions for weekly themes.
I humbly submit the following:
- A jungle safari
- A manned mission to Mars (and back)
- Getting to the lifeboats on the Titanic
This week, the players are stuck in a traffic jam, sort-of. Everyone has there own destination to go to and it may be the same or completely different from the other players. Not all the modes of transportation will be the same, either. The main thing, is that we all have the same distance to go- 5 miles. Whoever travels their five miles the fastest (in other words, the highest percent return on your time) is the winner for the week. Let's see how everyone is starting off:
Websman is sitting in a hot rod and is trying to get it moving. Maybe someone put bleach on his tires, because he's just spinning his tires, now, and making a bunch of smoke. Scifos hops on his dog and hangs a bone on a fishing pole in front of it's face. Gatorman is programming his GPS unit to display the fastest way to get to his temp job as a restaurant mascot. Gary gets on his scooter for his morning coffee and doughnut, with peanuts racing behind him on a Big Wheel. Skiracer has taken off his skis and puts on roller skates. He's wearing a backpack that smells like a skunk. It's been a long time since Karel has been on his bicycle, and he's a little wobbly on it. Let's hope he remembers how to ride one of those things. Spikefader is going for a jog in his brand new shoes. He's gone a good distance already, and is currently in third place. He's trying to catch up with ParkTwain, who has decided to ride the information superhighway... maybe he'll have a high speed connection. And our leader right now is RL, who heard that there was a Sports Illustrated Bikini Contest in the park at 5:30 pm. His wife took the car, but his son left the skate board. RL is a fast learner... and skater
