      HOV: up on low

Yup, that's right: HOV moved up today on lower volume. That is typically a bearish signal that lower prices are ahead. We shall see . . . .

        Friday/TOL

Here's what's happening with TOL today: double bottom breakout.
Let's see if there is enough volume to push TOL to the $47 target.

          New-born,

The $52 - $53 area might be good place to reshort HOV. What do you think?

Yes, I think you are correct. What we have here is a bounce off of support, and it should last today only. It is possible that Monday will be up again, I'll have to check the chart over the weekend. But I think you analysis is correct.

                KBH Forever

                Forever:

I would not call that a descending triangle. The reason is that a descending triangle must have at least two touches at the top, and at least two on the bottom. Your chart did have, but your top line extends too far back, and includes price action that would not be part of a descending triangle.

Here's what I see--it probably shocks you, but--KBH is forming a double bottom, and $78+ is very possible if KBH busts the $74.20 resistance line on Monday or Tuesday. And look at the money flow--it is not leaving the stock. She is not anywhere near ready for a short, IMHO.

If you are going in the direction she moves, it seems to me that the move is upwards towards $78+. Really.

Here's the chart: and let's see if I have her sized correctly this time.

Here's my critique of your charting:
IMHO it is not a descending triangle, but a double bottom.
As I think about it, I made the very same charting error sometime back
when I was just starting, and Spike corrected my chart for me. Thanks Spike!

                • NB, this is how I see it. The buyers that bot in off (1 see chart) got flushed on the initial down thrust. Now we got those that bot off what they thought as the bottom (see 2) some off them are still holding and now need this thing to bounce back up near entry point. Here is where things may get interesting. The guys who bot at (3) will not play with it and if this thing falls. I expect an acceleration in downward pressure As the one’s with a real nice profit off the 50's range begin to think it has played out. I guess it boils down to what would you do possibilities.

                  Just speculating the possibitites!!!loloo

                    HOV--no

                    Forever--
NO, HOV is not a short candidate right now, IMHO. Here's the chart with comments. I think she is going to bounce here.

I see both your points on HOV and KBH. Thanks for the tips. Which on do you think has a bigger bounce comming. KBH looks stronger. I actually covered HOV today.

KBH for sure--if she breaks the neckline. $78+ target according to Dow Theory. HOV is not nearly as sure.

I will watch them both--along with BMHC, which I hold. If you see something, give me a hollar.

I covered all of my shorts today (or yesterday). I will look things over this weekend and start out anew next week.

Do you think KBH could go to $85 if $78 breaks?
