I think CSCO's report afterhours yesterday will supply the fuel to drive the markets farther down this morning. whether the move down holds over the entire day is another thing but i am looking on the short side for any plays right now.
I shorted POT yesterday and am looking at a possible short of C this morning. If the market moves farther down both will be decent setups right here. i feel that finding shorts will be easier than longs in this current market.
you can check the charts out at the link below.

Nice chart billyjoe. i'm going to put it up over at stockcharts and keep an eye on it. decent example of double bottom base. above moving averages here on the daily and might just explode out of it's handle shortly. no overhead resistance on the daily. it's a little fuzzy but i'm going to use 56 as the left side top.

            Ski,
I've turned so conservative . Made only 2 buys this year , but I'll be ready when the tide turns. Poor Spike says he's been unlucky rather than bad lately. My worst record was 13 bad trades in a row. That was a few years ago. By eliminating stupidity I'm greatly increasing my odds for success. I've actually lost nothing in the last 6 months but had some wild swings along the way.

i think everyone hits streaks where they'll have a number of trades go the wrong way. the key, and spike will agree with me on this for sure, is the way you manage them in not letting them go to far before you exit them. these have been hard markets to trade of late but controlling and managing your trades is your only weapon. stops play a significant role in doing that along with setting a limit, like 4-7%, where you exit the trade and cut the losses short.

                Ski,
Spike and you seem to be getting your groove back. With the recent fickleness in ag stocks and FEED being under $15 I'd sell quickly if it hit a new high or maybe even touched 16 unless of course a new raging bull market comes upon us then the sky's the limit. I'll be checking the market indicators closely tomorrow. I think a good day will bode very well for FEED. A couple up days in a row and the registers will be ringing $$$. You said something on another thread about me being tight with my money and the older I get the tighter I get. Controlling the trades in my son's Roth it seemed unusual that it was beating my account's return by more than double. Looking back I realized I was rarely taking chances with his money and that conservatism was paying off big time. Ever notice how sometimes you almost know in advance when you've made a great buy? FEED might prove to be one of those situations.

-----------I like that article on FEED posted at Spike's site. It contains info that ads to and confirms my own sources. Also FEED has 630 retail stores around China catering to the hog growers of which 75% in that country are of the backyard farmer variety. Sort of a McDonald's for pigs.

beside TASR, which i like for the long term because of it's product and being the leader in that field, FEED is the first one in awhile that i felt has the potential for actually becoming a double or triple.
i thought that article was quite informative of the fact that FEED is a major player in a major segment in the Chinese economy. it would seem that the potential for exceptional growth is real and has a very high chance of becoming a reality. i'm not looking for an overnight wonder or a miracle but steady growth and appreciation by a company with what appears to have the inside track in pork in China. you might want to check out this site. it's where i found FEED completely by chance. http://www.smallcapinvestor.com/

                      Ski,
Point well taken. I was studying a 10 year chart to see if NJR peaks at certain months and couldn't find a pattern. We'd all be better off if we stuck to NJR types and forgot about catching the next big thing.

Billyjoe it will be in the 40's and you'll be thinking why you didn't buy it. I think it will pull back some soon and then it would be a good buy anywhere in the 30 -31.50 range.

                          Ski,
If FEED hits 12 tomorrow (12.20 today) and you don't have an order in but are watching it tick, at what point would you definitely buy as it hovers a few cents above or below 12? Just checking your thought process.

spike says it would be a good buy at 12. i never thought it would get that low but it might. i'm waiting for a bottom. it could go lower than 12 but i don't think so. almost bought it today when it hit 12.20 and bounced back up but had to go out of the office and missed it. just as well. i want to get it as low as i can but can't tell where that will be at tomorrow so i'm just waiting it out for the time being. i would buy at $12 or so but don't want to buy there and then watch it go lower.

CLB is coming up the right side although the cup isn't exactly a thing of beauty.

                                Billyjoe,
sorry that i didn't respond to you earlier but i've been really busy with business and some monkey business. had something very pressing to take care of 1st thing this morning. satisfied that and then didn't stop all day. actually didn't look at the market at all today. Took a look at CLB and didn't like the daily at all. on the weekly there is something forming there but i would rather wait for the right pattern. this one seems a little erratic and the price is way up there. you would have to invest 135000 to buy a 1000 shares. risking 7% or 9450 to make a point or two or three is alot of money for the r/r. i very seldom trade them above 100 and even above 50 is to much for me. i like the lower priced range.
look at FEED. that 12 range was a great entry. spike hit it right on the head. i stopped out on the first trade at 12.60 but the 2nd trade at 12 range is working out nicely. i still think this is a good entry range. looking for 17 or higher. i feel that it is getting ready to breakout. today was a feeler for what is to come.
