No doubt VSH is a good stock but I think I may be able to buy it cheaper than $9 sometimes this week. And of course I can't say this without any reasoning. I hope I'm wrong but here's my opinion.

    1. VSH has been up 8 straight days
    2. It's overbought
    3. When a stock gets downgraded, it may sell off for days
    4. Today's end of day market sell off tells me tomorrow's gonna be bloody which may cause investors to take profit on VSH huge move the past 8 sessions.

I will keep VSH on close watch to see if it will breach the 50MA @ 8.61 because there's a gap right around $8.4. If we go below $8.4 next support is $7.53.

several thoughts on why i bought more VSH today at $9.58 and why I continue to like the stock, see no reason to exit the trade, and thought todays downgrade by some bozo analyst was a windfall and a great buying opportunity. these analysts should be made to present some type of factual evidence to substantiate what they say. they spew out anything that comes into their heads without anything supportive of what they are stating and are oblivious to the ramifications of the BS they put out there. what would be fun would be to grab him off the street and put him in a basement in brooklyn somewhere for about a month or so until he understands what is real and what isn't. Christ he could be buying the living daylights out of the stock today and laughing all the way to the bank while blue collar traders would be getting their heads handed to them and jumping off ship in an emotional frenzy. Karel could you delete the clone below for me please. don't know what happened. must have liked what i said so much i had to do it twice. thanks.

          Ski,

I can't remember which thread you and Wooish were talking about VSH. I did buy some April $10 calls. I am definitely IN with you on VSH.

          Thanks for the play,

i think it was on this thread steel. i hate to sound authorative in the sense that i wouldnt listen to or consider what anyone else has to say. wooish or anyone is entitled to their opinions and i listen to each and everyone of them. whether you agree or disagree is another story. the only thing one can do is to present their views on the subject matter and substantiate your position with factual evidence. sometimes my wife says that i come off to strong and she is probably right. wooish has some good points regarding VSH and the fact remains to be seen what it will do. i am still holding the trade and believe in every word that i had to say about the stock and trade. right now im up pretty good with the trade but the truth of the matter is that it is selling off for whatever reasons. i dont believe the stock is overbought but suffering from what that analyst said yesterday and from the market in general which is going to have some bearing on almost every stock. the only thing you can do is to watch the position and dont give back to much of your gains. i will post it here immediately if my feelings about the trade change or if i am going to exit the trade.

Don't take it personally because we're all learning and sharing opinions here. Like you said, everyone is entitled to their opinion and I feel that you gave very strong points. I don't disagree that VSH is a good stock but I gave my opinion base on what I see and where I feel the market is headed today.

You're an experience trader and your picks have been right on. I would buy VSH without even thinking if I wasn't feeling so bearish. My two major points of not buying VSH yet is due to my bearish sentiment of the market and due to some senseless downgrade. I have lost big $$$ in the past due to some dude's senseless downgrade.

VSH is holding up very good today even though the market is down. No doubt I'm watching for a good entry.

So you're okay with me too? I'm looking for another entry long. It's at your 9.58 now. I like VSH. Have to give more thought before getting back into ADAT. There doesn't seem to be impetus for momentum, but I have to look further. I appreciate your "strong" opinions. And you sure do give us some good leads. Thanks ruski. (actually RU Ski? hee)

                        Aftermarkets

Whats a good way into knowing or analyzing how the markets will open in the morning. It seems there is some aftermarket news that affects the way the market will react to it on opening bell. I will like to start using this tool for my buy and sell technique.

Any help or links will be good..

                        thx

knowing what the market is going to do before the open is guesswork Houstongo. the best that i can offer is to take a look at the chart of the SPX to interpret how it's trendline is moving. i use google finance as my home page but im sure yahoo or others will have the same info regarding how the futures have been performing overnight. if the are up the chances are the market will move up and visa versa. any upcoming reports by the FED on consumer sentiment, jobs, or other economic data can effect the market open and raise the anxiety level before the open. but the best thing i know of is following the trendline of the SPX. the way the market has been trending is a good way to base your trades because 75 - 80 % of all stocks will follow the market trend.

                            Ski,

I took part in a stock investing workshop with Investools/TD Ameritrade and they said, when the indexes trend up, they will pull 75% of all stocks up with them. However, when the indexes are down, they drag 90% of all stocks down with them. The trend is your friend right .

Steel, if you have learned anything that is probably as significant a fact as any regarding trading. lock that one into place as a base and pyramid off of it with education and experience. along with emotional control it is as important as any one thing in my opinion.
