      Spike,
I don't know if I would be buying it right now but the daily and weekly looked good to me. Certainly has held it's own over the last few days of this recent concolidation. Big institutional accumulation going on over the last couple of months. Was a nice spike up yesterday after a tight trading range over the last 2 months or so. Something going on behind the scenes? I would wait it out to see what today brings after that spike yesterday.

When the market is relentlessly bearish, this screen is really the only game in town for longs. You buy a good company cheap...and wait...and wait.

Obviously I prefer momentum investing, but you can't play baseball in the rain.

Just bought HOM at $10.44. Plenty of overhead supply after the last few days of selling off, 500,000 shares or so buy some officer/insider, which I think is just about done being bought up. I like this intraday possible SHS formation that is forming. If it does and we get a neckline break I'm looking for a return to the $11.40/12.50 range. Setting stop at $10 and looking for $12 for an r/r of 3.5/1. It's fallen below the ema 20 but been banging up against it several times. Looking for a break of that resistance.
Haven't made a trade since 5/16/06 with MED.

I've been thinking of HOM myself. It's looking like it could possibly hit the 50 day MA, but still looks like a winner.

Ski, have you noticed what's happened to our old favorite DHB? Looks like Brooks is getting ready to get his reward... LOL

                Webs,
That Brooks is a bastard. Lots of us got caught in that insider dump including myself. I remember buying at around $19/20 range and no sooner than I got into the trade they started dumping. I lost a quick 7 % on that one. It's trading under $2 right now. I hope they all of those insiders lost their shirts although I do feel sorry for the regular Joe's who took it on the chin with DHB. Hard to believe that it's trading that low. Webs, remember how that thread was running on the IBD forum.

Here is a pretty good site that some may find interesting. Pretty decent charts available for free. The guy running it is Colin Twiggs. Lots of great info for free. www.incrediblecharts.com.

I need some help with Excel. I'm trying to learn how to use it an am taking an online tutorial on the basics of using it. Right now I am going over using the copy and paste command an am having trouble understanding how to copy and paste something from one cell to another cell. Any explanation on how to do this function would be appreciated. Either PM me or a general post would be appreciated. Thanks.

Just right click the cell you want to copy...then left click copy...then right click the cell you want to paste to...then left click paste.

However, if the cell you are copying has a formula in it like =Sum(a1+a2) the formula will change to be appropriate with the cell you paste to. There must be a way to stop that though...but I don't know.

Hey Thanks Ski...your question prompted me to find out how I can keep
the formula constant even in a new cell....$ works

                      =sum($a$1+$b$2)...then the formula never changes.

Found the answer here...looks like a nice site:

Remarkable coincidence. Great minds must think alike. That's the site that I found on Google an am using to teach myself the basics. Thanks Doug. Stand by for more questions please. I'm going to try to do what you said right now.

Might I suggest this book...I have a whole series of these back to 1995...I like them because they show you exactly what you see on the screen...In fact, back in the 90's that's how I taught myself WORD and Excel in the first place.

Thanks Doug. Got it down pat now. That is a pretty good site for the Excel novice. I bought a book, "Excel For Dummies", but have been reading it for a couple of weeks but just can't seem to get the gist of it. So I Googled Excel and got that site an things became much clearer for me. Thanks again. Ed.
