[QUOTE=mystiky]I thought more and more about it, and went out and sold those calls today at $6.20. I don't like to take so much risk usually, but it seems that GOOG analysts are trying their best to hold up the fort so they can all exist the stage peacefully.

But I agree, its quite risky there...[/QUOTE I'll say an today it's proving just how risky selling calls can be. Up over $6.00 right now. This stock is just to volitaile to be gambling with.

      Out of GOOG naked calls

      Hi Skiracer,

Just wanted to let you know that I covered those "naked" GOOG March $400 calls that I sold on Friday at $6.20. I covered today at $1.80 right near the close. The way GOOG is acting, I am pretty sure that I would be able to cover them under a $1 in a few days...but with that possibility of the S&P500 addition for it, did not want to take a chance.

Thanks for your help, and again, I realize how risky my play was. But charts do help!

P.S. I shorted some ERS today and looking for a $19.50's cover. Seems to be having trouble clearing that $22 resistance (for a close at a new high), and has bounced back on smaller volume since the big selloff from $23+ to under $16 a few weeks ago.

Just curious but is this the best play that you see out there to put your money into. I always like to ask myself that question before I take a position, especially one like this one. Good luck.

        Ski,
Do you still have any interest in HOM? Maybe it was stupid of me to hold, but the damage was done so quickly I didn't have time to bail. Anyway it seemed impossible for them not to put up some huge numbers in the next 3-12 months. Was down almost 33%, now about back to even. Are you watching the recent movement and what do you see for HOM down the road? Thanks.

          Billyjoe,
Coincidence that you asked about HOM. I've been keeping an eye on it for the last couple of weeks and was going to buy it yesterday and didn't. But bought a 1000 shares of it this morning at $5.90. I'm going to put a stop at $5.90 in the morning and see how it goes. Big volume on it today.
Another one I really like is FLOW. I sold it the other day at $13.26 and re-entered this afternoon at $13.01. Showing alot relative strength. Big institutional buying over the last couple of months. I think HOM can go to $7/8 range from here. $8 would be real nice.

I talked to Rockin'Rob on the phone today about BBD. He's hot on it too. I haven't taken a position yet but I'm lookin' mighty hard at it.

So you're buying CSCO calls now right?

I like CSCO to go to $23 range over the next couple of weeks. It it does that then those CYQDX April $22.50 calls will be nice. Yesterday I put an order in for 200 contracts @ .15 but it never got filled an the calls held at .20 bid and .25 asked almost all day. Late in the afternoon CSCO moved up from $21.40/21.42 range where it traded all day to above $21.50/21.55 range. The calls advanced to .25 bid and .30 asked. My order never got filled. I'll be keeping a close eye on them today an might take a shot at .20 but no higher.
Looks like they're ready to open this am at .20 bid and .25 asked. I would wait until at least 10 am before doing anything.

Those call options on CSCO never got filled but on Tuesday of this past week I bought 300 contracts at .15. I like the stock to at least $23 or more an if it goes to that level the option could go off to a 1.00 or more. The option did get sold at .25 but never really got bid at that .25 like bid .25 asked .30.
I watched CSCO all day Friday beat against the $22 level and couldn't break and hold it. After a number of tries I felt it was going to break down an I was lucky to exit at .20 on the 300 contracts. A decent gain but heavy duty commissions with Options Express which took alot out of the trade. I'm seriously going to look into IB. Anyway I think CSCO is good to go to at least $23 which would be good for that April 22.50 call at .15 bid .20 asked. The symbol is CYQDX. I'm putting a buy order in at .15 at 10 am on Monday unless the stock tanks by then which could change the whole plan. I also like the stock at these prices but you might be able to get it a little cheaper than $21.67 first thing Monday am. I always wait until at least 10 am.
I also own NVAX from $7.52 an on Friday again at $8.00. So I'm averaged in on 2000 shares at $7.75. I thought it was going off on Friday when it went to $8.18. Bought more on the intraday pullback to $8. I see $9.50 range over short term. Right now the stock has moved above 52 wk high areas and there is no resistance above it.

                  Hey Ski,

Remember SNUS earlier in the thread? I got to lookin' at it today and wondering what you see it doing from here? A quick count and I'm thinkin' maybe it's in the 'a' down after 5 on the weekly?? Not sure if this one is worth stalking for the 'c' or not. Whatcha think?

P.S. Thanks for all you contribute to the boards here. The place has sure gotten busy with lots of new posters; it's hard to keep up!

Boy, NVAX and CSCO options turned out to be two stinkers. Bailed on NVAX at $7.44. Right at 7 % stop an exit point. Glad I did with NVAX as it is now down to $7.12 level. I put an order in this am for the CSCO calls but it never triggered.

What does Rob think of BBD, NVAX, or the CSCO calls? Which one are you talking about. I still like the CSCO April 22.50 calls. Might be able to grab them at .10 tomorrow. BBD doesn't seem to have the strength right now to break through $37.50 and hold it and NVAX plain sucks. There might be some turmoil still lying underneath things in Brazil.

I'm pretty sure he's holding a position in BBD Ernie.

He played it for "Q" in the POTW this week so I think he decided it was to be the $$MM$$ play of the week dude.... Oh.... who is "Q" you ask?.... Dude "Q" is YOU....je....je....je
