I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Watching ECOL very closely here for an entry. This could be a nice buy point late this afternoon.
Was going to wait it out but once it poked it head back above the 20 ema I bought it at $25.50.
Set a stop on VLTS this morning at $3.75 and got stopped out. Never thought it would violate that stop. Now keeping an eye on it for a re-entry.

Thankyou Webs. I was thinking that it would pullback a bit more than it did today but when it poked back above the 20 ema after hitting 25.15 this morning I liked that show of strength.

ECOL has been above the 20-day EMA since 4/19. Are you referring to an intraday chart, Ski?

On the 10 min. intraday chart yesterday Dave. I liked that move back up from the LOD to above the 20 ema on the 10 min. chart. Just poked it's head above it there around 3 pm.
I got pretty lucky and shorted some ELSE today above $10. I covered 1/2 into the close, so what do you think we may see tommorow? I am thinking that 7.60's might be a good place (since 7.45 was the previous day high)?
Looks to me that it's still too overbought, and although it closed up nearly 30%, it was way down from the intraday high of $11.20.
Any charts, thoughts?
By the way, I would hold out for 6.75, but since they have a payout of $1 dividend coming next Friday (May 5 is ex-div date), I don't want to mess with that.
Sorry Mystiky but very busy right now and haven't had the time for myself much less others. I will try to take a look at it tonight.
Looking at FLOW very close right now. Finishing a cup and handle on the daily right now. I've traded FLOW successfully a few times and like their balance sheet and earnings potential. If that is a cup an handle I see on the daily right now it could get some momo very soon. I would buy it at any time right now just watching closely to see if it starts to move back up.
ECOL doing well. In from $25.50 range.
Looking for re-entry on VLTS. Will wait for the right spot.
Here's one to contemplate. One of my construction sites which is in the structural framing stage is getting shut down Monday morning because the crew of guys who work for the framing sub-contractor are all Brazilian. He swears they are all legal but I don't believe that. Anyway Monday in NJ, I don't know if it is happening across the country or just in specific states, all the latino workers, that encompasses alot of countries, are staging a work outage by not showing up for work. My framing sub-contractor called me late Friday afternoon to tell me that there wouldn't be anyone working Monday due to that work outage. They are trying to show just how strong they are in many job areas. This has me so pissed off that I don't know what to do. What the hell is going on in this country an how did this situation evolve into this. When they come back on Tuesday they are going to encounter a whole different type of guy running the show. Goodbye Mr. Niceguy and hello Mr. Hardass on every little thing from picking up every piece of scrap to wasting any little piece of lumber unnecessarily.

Ski, it is happening in Georgia. This is where I do most of my landscaping work. I was talking to my accountant yesterday and he informed me to be very careful hiring Latino’s. He also informed me that the business owners would be responsible in the event they hire illegal Latinos. I’m cut down my crew and have been doing more work myself. I’m thinking they are looking for a small company to make an example out of. I’ve got the info or S.S.N. and green cards, but still have not a clue if they are legitimate. Rumor from my town is that 150 Latino’s where rounded up for deportation. This is not confirmed and so I’ll play it by ear.

Well...your Accountant is wrong...If you have the proper info on the I-9 then you are safe...Employers are not responsible for verifying the authenticity of documents...If they strongly resemble real documents...within reason I guess...Then you can consider them real.
Ski...yes it is happening across the country.
I have my own opinions about the whole situation...But this forum is not the place to voice them...Doug(IIC)

I was mainly interested in finding out if it was a nationwide thing going on this Monday. I guess you're right about this not being the proper place to talk about it.

What??? Am I going to be deported? They can't really send me back to my home planet can they?
Ski,
My daughter works at an indoor water park. Several months ago they hired a large crew of Brazilian students. It messed the whole place up. They couldn't read English well enough to know what location to be at and at what time. There are 13 different water areas to monitor. Luckily no one drowned during the confusion. Those students are all gone now replaced by Tiawanese and the problems continue. My daughter is one of the original employee's but is now thinking of leaving. They have housing for the foreigners that looks like a prison. surrounded by barbed wire all all. One of the students told my daughter that working conditions and pay are much better here. I think since many are lifeguards, they have to pay more than minimum wage.
