My current chart for it. NGPS isn't done falling yet in my humble little opinion. The blue channel long day is what I'm waiting for; when that happens I'll look for an entry long. Until then, caution longs.

        Hi Spikefader:

I like the chart you posted, especially the channel band. I know that the chart is from stockcharts.com, but I can not find the same chart that you show here. I use my level II charting, but does not have the channel, would you please show me how the get that from stockcharts.com? Since I am a FA guy, so not familiar with the channel, but it is interesting.

Yes, channels are interesting. Good indicator of trend range and more importantly, potential mini trend changes within a bigger trend. I highly recommend lower channel hits as potential reversal points.

Here's what you want to do:
          go here

and look for the "Annotate" link underneath the chart. This will open a Java box and you can choose any number of tools they have. For channels, choose the 13th box from the left on the top. It is the 'Raff Regression Channel Tool". After you click it, go to your chart and click, hold and drag from any high or low point and you'll see the channel draw. Note how the channel acts when price touches it. Does it expand, turn up, turn down. My thread covers these channels extensively, so flick through it some time and see how I use them.

lol ya, I had to....I can't upload images here for some reason. On top of that, I notice upload size limits are markedly lower now. imagshack is easier.

                My bad of course

I was a bit worried when I saw the link and not the inline picture. That would be too limiting. But fortunately Imageshack allows deep links, and our software can make use of them. Like this:

                HTML Code:
                [img]http://img118.exs.cx/img118/7383/ngpsapril119oy.jpg[/img]
The "HTML code" is of course the pseudo HTML you can use in the forums.

Just to put things into perspective: This image weighs in at 170 KB, so the more than thousand words this image conveys cost over 25,000 words.

Some attachment statistics: We have 816 attachments, totalling 37.6 MB, for an average of 47.1 KB per attachment. Our top attachment poster is Spike, with 725 attachments posted, totalling 34.61 MB.

Also, a significant number of users will still be using modem lines, and a picture like this one in their case costs about 40 seconds to load. Could be annoying, especially in a thread with more of the like. There should be tutorials on the web for downsizing your pics, if not in pixels, then in KB.

                Regards,

                Karel

                  Cool! Thanks Karel.

Yes, I was thinking that all my charts had to be adding up. I'll use imageshack now.

PS. by the way Karel, emails I get; when I click the thread, I'm directed only to the main page.

My new researched aggresive portfolio: ODSY CSH CGPI GLT KOMG AEY AGII GPX IFC STFC.
I use my model and filter to get these result, but remember I am a FA guy, not look at the TA too much. But now is not a good time to load since market trend is not clear. Actually it is good to play option these days or swing due to the up and down game. Will give more detail analysis about the stocks that I pick in the portfolio later.

Thanks for the picks. Maybe you'll become more of a TA guy now you're here and are exposing yourself to channel/pattern theory There's enough good stuff in it to at least arouse the interest

                        Spikefader:

According to your nice chart. I think as long as NGPS hold at above 20 which is it 50MA, its chart will be perfect uptrend channel, tomorrow will be the day. From 'Raff Regression Channel' you gave, its next target will be 23.

Holding it tight, won't sell it under $25. If it jump up to $23 tomorrow within a day, I might out some. Hope from now on, it can change its head to North and step by step goes up. I don't like up $4 and down $6.What I think from last friday: the volume decreased suddently clost to 500K per day compared to 1.5M volume two weeks ago signals that the downtrend diminished. Thanks Spikefader's great chart.

                                NGPS @ 17 strong support

Actually I don't want to comment on this stock again. You all know how crappy the market is and we can not do much about it. Definitely I am strongly holding this stock. What I would like to say is if you want to earn some quick money, this is it. NGPS been shorted sell from above $20 and seems MM play this one for the reason of market now. Everytime market up a little bit, the stock up alittle bit. Before that the MM play this stock with ANTP, now it change to market. Market will be rebounce next week and all the shorter will cover. This stock can fly several dollars a day and now is the bottom bottom. If you are finding a stock to trade at the bottom, this is it. I am holding it tight, won't sell it under $25. YMYD, don't put all your money into one basket.
