  • Tried ABLE again this morning. Tried pullback to bull-bear line (see Runner's Rascals for numerous examples) at 16.23. didn't work this time. It fell under, stopped at 15.90.

VPHM (Price target upper) and STV both off to pretty good start.

    • Don't emotions just frustrate the fire out of ya!? As I type this, and only the very next trading day you exited your VPHM position, I see that it has gapped up and is running bullishly despite your Vulcan sensibilities. You correctly re-evaluated your decision and your new plan was a good one. But alas you are left with the emotion of regret as you watch this puppy march onward without you. If I may be so bold as to offer advice to a Vulcan; let it go brother, don't try and chase something that has left without you. You made the error and it's done....water under the bridge. VPHM is now like every other stock out there; your re-entry into it has the same chance of being a great one as any other stock on the planet. If you were holding, you'd be looking to protect your profit and you'd be looking for the wisest exit now; not the wisest entry. Take your medicine, learn from your mistake, comit to changing your behavior for future trades, and walk away content that you took 50% profit from a stock that turned into a monster without you. Hunt for the next truly great entry; instead of emotionally chasing an entry to seek revenge. Stalk your next trade, and pounce with Vulcan determination and surprise us all again with your Hugeness at being able to enter BEFORE a huge move, not after one And if that next one is to be VPHM, then so be it. Just be patient, and make the plan a great one, and I may even follow you!
I hope Webs and Spike don't mind, but I wanted to copy Spike's wise words over here. I recently encountered the same situation with my big winner ERS. Today, it's almost a buck over where I sold it. But, like Webs and VPHM, I'm happy to have made quite a few coins on it.

      Onward!!

        • HITK looks like it's trying to find support. I'm waiting at this point. And, yes Grebnet, I'm always interested. Thanks.

IPII is blasting off today... should have listened to Newborn.

B.J. Why did you sell ERS? I picked some up as it came off the trendline on Friday.

I would look for a re-entry for ABLE near 14.

              • dmk, looks like the "c" entry was the place on ERS. Best with it.

Good eye... I wasn't paying attention to that trendline. I was looking at the 10 support and saw that there's not much other support until down near 8. When it went below 10 I got out. Had I been looking at the trend, I may have stuck it out a little longer.

Then again, the rebound is coming on low volume, so keep your eye on things.

Thanks, Just noticed that...not so good but hopefully it will get some bids tomorrow.

                    Still in VPHM?

                    • Well, VPHM up another 0.42 so far. While glad I kept half, I'm bummed that I sold the other half about 3.00 ago. Note to self: If you think you see a negative candlestick, ALWAYS WAIT FOR CONFIRMATION.

Seeking comments on STV. Specifically, the LOD is 9.63, from which it bounced strongly. Looking at the 9.60-11.48 run, the 50% Fib would give me 9.53 (pretty close to that low). I'd like to know if it would have been prudent to take that entry (as an add-on), or better to wait for firming support?

I've made decent bucks of late, but I find myself selling a tad too soon as well.

                      • AMLN working on bullish engulfing. I may add shares sooner than I had anticipated (was looking for a drop to near 20). I'll see how things are at the end of the day and await confirmation.

B.J. You can't always sell at the top, you locked in your profits that's all that matters. Who would of known VPHM was going to rocket the way it did!

You got that right, always hard to judge. Selling early beats selling late. I always have second thoughts though. Plus, being critical of myself will help me in the long run in paying attention to all signals.

Between yesterday and today, I see an evening doji star forming on VPHM. I'll await confirmation tomorrow. If it starts bad from the open, that's all, BUT ONLY IF CONFIRMED.

Same here. I think the reason that we're selling too soon is because we've been used to the market being crappy and we're still in that defensive mode.

I definitely got to learn to my winners run more.

Nail meet hammer. That was my same conclusion.

VPHM is starting to look really tired now though.
