Newborn, thanks for the nice pick; I like it.

But I think you missed the memo....You know, the one about having a downside plan........... lol So throw a stop in for us brother and the plan will be perfect

Tag, take note of this morning's open and learn from i (you got a stinky fill this morning at the high of day and RIGHT at old price resistance). Bear that in mind with your plan. It's a good thing to set limit orders for opening prices. This is something that CAN make a difference to your percentages. Shhh, don't tell the FA guys! haha

dmk, you alive dude? Need your updated plan thanks bro.
My stop is $82.01 (For BTU)

        For New-Born's eyes only

Ah...Just finished another coke classic and my mind is clearing nicely. Those c2 cokes are no good. Take it from a connoisseur.
        New-born,
Remember when you actually looked like your avatar? That's the fresh-faced New-born I picture in my mind. Then you went to the dark side (TA). Look in the mirror. See those wrinkles forming? That pinched look of the aging technical analyst? Your mumbo jumbo charts and lines, belts and triangles are taking their toll, my friend. Are you able to reconcile these mystical graphs and indicators with your flock?
Come back New-born, to the light of FA. As a prodigal FAer you will be welcomed with the finest of picks and refreshments, a feast of stocks with the highest earnings and future price appreciation.

        Your FA brothers

Evidence : good ol' New-born " Billyjoe, I just found a nice stock that would fit well into your retirement portfolio and enable you to make the gradual transition into your golden years a pleasant experience"

new (TA) New-born "Look at that ascending triangle , you will buy it NOW!!"

Do you really think I've aged at all? That C2 Coke is an elixir of youth.

Alright, Lye! I knew you had it in ya. I give the thumbs up for BMD and we are buying it with the rest of the cash (40%). Right now (12:42 NYT) the bid is 5.36, so we'll buy it at market at that price.

Sorry mimo, but you're too late for today. If you post a pick tonight, I'll sell one of our multitude of winners tomorrow (maybe AMLN as it's up $1.3 already!) and buy your pick then.

Because we started the contest this morning and I'm figuring I got the buy at $13.70 instead of $13.20 I wouldn't place the stop until it gets over $14.70/14.75 range. But the good part about is that I bought a full position yesterday at $13.20.
Unfortunately it gapped up over you limit, so it's still sitting there waiting for the train to come back.

OK, thank you. What I said to Tag earlier applies to all of us too. Buying opening prices can really bite. Look at yours for example - traded a penny below the price resistance and sold, leaving a tweezer top there. Now any self-respecting TA lover would not be buying a tweezer top. It's nuts. So let's all make limit orders at the open rather than leaving it up to Lady Luck where our fills are.

I don't think a penny matters much, but strictly speaking if you're buying the market, you're buying the ask and not the bid.

oops, I stand corrected. I think I meant to say ask, but anyway there was a penny spread at the time, so we'll make it 5.37 just in case I got it upside-down.

Who was it that said the TAers would get us on the technicalities? Oh well, 0.01 there won't break us.
