Was out of town (yet again) this weekend and didn't get any reasearch done. I would have just picked another long shot piece of 'you know what' but I read somewhere here that you are looking for solid picks and not hail marys. Stocks I actually picked up today was COP, BMHC, and XJT.

I'm Happy to report that I now have my WILD BLUE!!!!!

I'm "SMoooooKIN" now guys!.... Satellite Internet is pretty darned fast.... But what I love even more is this wireless connection. FREEDOM! I'm taking my laptop down to the barn and see if I can pick up the connection from there.... I Might wanna set up my "trading office" out there.hehehe.... Hmmmmm, Wonder if I can slide that idea by the wife?

Barn's only about 200 yards from the house and my wireless router boasts it can reach 1000 feet, so I should be fine.... I also use my hay loft as a deer stand.... Overlooks a nice rolling 60 acre hay field ("possible" 500+ yard shots). I can be hunting, online trading and B.S.ing on $MM$ site.... All at the same time!.... It's times like this that it pays to be a good multitasker.

Spikes Scientific SCOTC vs Lye's POTW "H" factor....

It'll be VERY interesting to see how the SCOTC stacks up against the POTW portfolio.

While it's true that I was a little hard on you POTW fellas last night (making ya'll work OT and all) seems the "kick in the paints" must have helped.... because The POTW Portfolio is making some impressive gains today! Might let you off on Sunday if this keeps up!

I REALLY think that if you guys get very serious about each and every pick you submit and do some real dd and have a solid reason for those picks (long and short) this POTW portfolio will be darned hard to beat!

The "H" factor Fellas.... The "H" factor.... THAT's this system's edge.... YES the HUMAN FACTOR!!!! (no offense Webs, though NOT human, you ARE "one of the guys").... Think about it... 18-20 sharp! minds, working as a team to help develope the picks for the best, most profitable overall system of investing ever conceived on earth!.... Make your current (older) laptop wireless!

AFTER taking my wife out for a nice dinner last night.... I had a HUGE portion of fresh fried catfish mmmmm!.... She had some kinda greek salad thing or something like that.... Then we got a cup of SBUX at the drivethru.... She proceeded to go to Target.... I just can't do that, soooooo....

I took my son and headed for BBY..... See I've had my eye on a LCD Monitor to hook up as a dual screen for my lap top. (guys ya gotta ask them about hooking up a dual screen.... very KOOL!) Anyway.... Nabbed this real geeky lookin skinny fella (probibly likes Greek salads) with really wild, bushy hair and an old (tight) string necklace around his neck, wondered why all these kids wear an old cotton string with a couple of beads around their neck? What is that anyway? Anyway.... I figured he knew about computors and sure enough.... he did.... He helped me find the perfect LCD monitor.... Then I was asking this kid about a knew laptop for the wife, a wireless deal so she can enjoy the same newfound freedom that I'm experiencing lately.

Well.... as me and this skinny kid kinda "hit it off" and talked about laptops and "Wild Blue" satellite internet and wireless routers, I mentioned I had bought my TWO previous laptops from BBY.... He asked me what the first one was and I proceeded to tell him. He said "DUDE!" you don't need to spend $1,500 on a new laptop for "her" (then he reminded me that she just uses it to send and receive emails and look up recipes) and I said.... "I DON'T dude?".... WHAT?.... I can make my old 700 MHZ HP Pavilion N5195.... WIRELESS? He said "yep, my new fat buddy and for $80 measly bucks".... So I proceeded to buy a Linksys (Cysco) Wireless-G Notebook Adapter with SRX technology (Model No. WPC54GX) AWESOME! (btw this thing just slides into your exterior PC card slot).... I thought! only $80 FREAKIN BUCKS!!!!..... Hmmmmm. Now I can pawn my OLD laptop off on the Missus (she'll never know the difference) and Buy me a HUUUUGGGGE 21 inch wide screen Superduper High Definition LCD monitor! YEEEEEHAAAAA! So I did just that. hehehehehe!

I'm happy to announce that the old laptop is now WIRELESS, (she likes it) and the thing actually has a little stronger signal than my newer laptop! That's right guys! $80 bucks and a $75 wireless router and YOU ARE WIRELESS!!!! AND NOW!!!! I have a NEW huge HD LCD to watch my intraday tickers on!

OK Fellas...., This is why I started this thread. I'll be keeping this data and developing a plan to play the top players picks with my own dollars soon. Will I be the ONLY one profiting from this "H" factor experiment?.... NOOOOOO!!!!.... WHY?!!!.... Because I'll post every trade I make here for all to see and follow. If I make Money.... YOU can make money!!! And as you can see by my points standing right now I REALLY need this system!!!!

Invitation To Play!!!!

Attention ALL $$$Mr. Market$$$ Members!!!!

You are welcome to play in BillyJoe's POTW contest on a weekly basis. It can be found on BillyJoe's Thread. (I'm just the scorekeeper)

Here are the Rules for all interested members. PLEASE READ ALL RULES!

(1) Pick one stock and post it (Long or Short) on the POTW thread anytime this weekend OR.... before the market closes on Monday.

(2) Any pick entered premarket will be entered at the "open" price. No limit orders are allowed.... If your pick is entered during market hours on Monday, the ticker price at the time of your actual post will be used to price your entry (I'll calculate the price, you just need to post the play)

(3) You can hold your pick all week.... or you are allowed exit your trade at any time to lock in a profit (or limit a loss).... After that, you can go into "cash" and make ANOTHER pick any time during the remainder of the week.... You may exit the SECOND pick to protect profit (or limit loss) but you must sit in cash after that.

(4) Try to pick a consistant gainer you have a valid reason to beleive will be profitable that week. PLEASE NO bb stocks allowed!... We're looking for volume and quality! Good Volume is critical in these picks because other's may be playing them in real life. I suggest an average of about 70k shares traded daily as a minimum vol. (volume requirement is not a hard rule just a suggestion) PLEASE NO "HAIL MARY" RISKY PICKS! This is a points race folks, BE CONSISTANT.... try to stay "Green".

(4) If you play a stock short, make sure shares ARE available to be shorted Example: I shorted a stock in the contest last week and when I attempted to "really" short it, there were NO SHARES AVAILABLE to short, thus that stock is NOT affected by short selling pressure AT ALL... and it kept rising. A very bad play on my part, and it cost me in my points standing. Learn from my mistake.... Make sure your "stinkers" can indeed be short sold in the real world!

Even if you are late to the game I invite you to still play You will be penalized for games missed.... but you'll be gaining valuable experience and the score card will reset to zero after the New Year begins.
