    Dave,
Another great performance an I thought "The Witches of Eastwick was also right up his alley. He's at his best with the off offbeat characters. The farther off the better. He was also good in a few of those chick flicks.

The best, IMO, was Randall McMurphy.

          "Something's Gotta Give."

I liked Jack in "Tommy" as the doctor.

I grew up from 10 yrs. old in Lakehurst, NJ. Jack's father had a beauty salon in Lakehurst an it was called Jack Rose's Beauty Salon. Jack wasn't famous at the time and none of his family lived in Lakehurst but his father was a womanizer of sorts. I can remember my mother coming home from his shop and always said the same thing about the father. He was always coming on to any woman who came into the shop with the little inuendos. It wasn't until much later on that I found out that he was Jack's father. I remember him because he shop was right next to the boro hall and police station. I also remember him as being short but a good looking man. I think he was an Italian because my mother an him would speak to each other in Italian. Us kids would go by his shop an I would call him names in Italian an he would curse back at me in Italian.
