You could be right. In fact, I'd like to see a pullback. She's at resistance now. If that resistance can hold, I'll feel pretty good at it all.

It'll rise to right below $40 today on moderate volume.... After hours it'll spike up about 4% above $40.... Then base about ten minutes.... and CRASH!... Longs gotta hate that gap this morning.... That's a warning sign if there ever was one imo.

Question: why not take the $5 for the MAY $35 calls, and watch SIRF pullback. Then you could cover at a profit . . .

I agree. I was urging Lye-baby to sell SIRF $35 calls "naked." Cover 'em up later when she dumps further. An alternate play, and safer, is to sell the $45 MAY calls naked for $80. Lots of resistance between here and $45, don't you think?

Just found the discussion about groups on Ski's thread , I was not able to get to the computer in early April. Can you tell us some of your thinking and strategy in using group strength to select potential stocks? IBD seems to suggest picking from the top 20% of groups , but it seems that a group making an accelerating advance in standing would show more strength. Thanks

PARL is one of thos stocks you just got to be familiar with. I'll bet I've made a hundred trades on this thing in the past three years.

I'd rather see a stock faking weakness before earnings than rally right up to the wire. The weaker it looks this afternoon..... the more likely it explodes and runs up past resistance after hours..... Take a look at ACTU faking weakness here. I'd sell it if it kept running up before the close today.... Actually I like this selling.

I think it'll pop to around 39.80-40.20 area and then sell hard. My bias for that is +4% over 40.20; while price stays over that area and I'm neutral.
