I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Well, people from Pittsburgh, which used to be called Fort Duquense (sp?), say things like you'ns when they mean y'all, and they call rubber bands "gum bands," and stuff like that. And when they go out of the house, they say they are going ott the hoss.
When I lived in the Twin Cities, it was strange to me that they called Cokes "pops." And if a Minnesotan wants to go with you somewhere, he will say, "Can I go with?" Uh, excuse me, but isn't "go with" a transitive verb clause? Where's the object?
And L.A. is the only place I've ever been where I've heard the term "swap meet." They're "flea markets" just about everywhere else.
I just hate it when people do that with "transitive verb clauses and leave out the object. You can never distinguish what they mean when they do that.
If you're in LA and someone starts talking about a "swap meet" they're probably not talking about flea markets Rob.
Darn it Rob,
You tricked me. You can have an annualized compound gain to infinity since you are compounding the $$ and growing the amount using the new money. You can't compound a loss past 100% since the money is all gone there's nothing left to use to lose more than everything. Then again, you could compound a short loss and with your final trade end up owing more than you have, right?
Yeah, BillyJoe. That's what I'm talking about. If you go long on GOOG at $400 * 100 shares, the most you can lose is $40k. But what if you short it and it goes to $1,000 before you cover? In that case it's going to cost you $100,000 to cover. Then, using the short calculation formula:

Yes they are...They are the same thing...Although...We have it right...Originally, they were markets for people to swap this for that...But later they became markets for sellers of used junk and evolved into markets for sellers to hawk new junk...But the thing is...They were never markets for vendors to sell fleas...So we are right in CA...The rest of the country is wrong
