I was also able to retrieve the 11/9/04 report if you want to backtrack...The 11/09 report is below the 11/16 report...I'm not posting the Analyst's Worst one's though...IIC

Thank you.
I prefer short term trading though...which I would say is from one day to a week. On short term trades I'm looking for Momentum...Upward price movement on volume.
My 3 mo. daytrading experiment ends on Monday. It was very interesting. I made over 320 roundtrips. I made a lot of mental errors, but overall I'm satisfied with the outcome and I learned quite a bit...even about myself; e.g. like how I react to an immediate bad move.
However, Daytrading and a job do not mix. Even though I have a lot of freedom at work, I still have to handle things when they come up. Paperwork can be done whenever, as long as it meet deadlines.
I have not decided exactly how I am going to approach the rest of the year yet. I will probably make some daytrades when I can catch them right...either at a newsbreak or when they hit an intra-day pivot point on volume. But mostly, I plan on concentrating on swing trades in moving groups, under block accumulation(when I can find those) and high RS stocks that have pulled back on low vol and possibly consolidated on low vol. Then I wait for a vol. upward move.
I will also keep watch lists on those where I like the technicals. I particularly watch three levels of RSI, Williams %R(Only after it's made my list...I don't scan for this), MACD(Partcularly Crossovers), A/D and Slow STO. But I also watch ADX, Bollinger Bands and a few other things. I set up different watch lists for stocks that meet particular criteria. I also look at channels...but not all the time.
But mostly, I believe I'll be watching the strongest movers in groups on the move that meet my other criteria.
One last thing...which is very important, except maybe on news plays, the market direction. I keep telling myself that I don't "have" to be in. This is usually not a problem for me on swing trades...but it was on the daytrades in quite a few cases during the first month.
I've thought about deleoping a list of criteria and just sticking to it...I did that throughout the 80's and the 90's. During that time I was a fairly strict Canslimmer. But, times change and I feel that I should try to be adaptable/flexible to whatever is happening in the markets...at least that's what I try to do...Best, IIC
EDIT...On longer term trades and some Swing trades I also consider current and projected fundamentals...I don't really pay attention to fundies of previous year's as I pretty much feel that they are meaningless.Last edited by IIC; 11-21-2004, 12:19 AM."Trade What Is Happening...Not What You Think Is Gonna Happen"

Mo MO
Mo MO MMOO
TRGL:::::: now this pick, safe to say, has really mad PaPa Proud. After I sold PETD and picked these two stocks to replace it I was expecting RRC to be the more aggersive of these two stocks. Found RRC on my own and followed Jons lead (from The Swamp) on TRGL. At this rate I just might have two 200% winners this year. 13.22% on Friday. ===> M.E.A.Last edited by MEA_1956; 11-21-2004, 03:33 AM.GO BIG RED!!!!!

Trading Strategies
IIC,
Thank you for the description of your trading strategies. I appreciate the effort. I am particularly interested in your daytrading these past three months. Am I asking too much to ask,'what kind of numbers did you pull down?' By that I mean:
1. What percentage of trades were winners?
2. What percentage total gain did 3 months produce?
3. Could I, using your system, expect to make $30K or more per year daytrading?
4. What kind of advice would you care to toss my way?
IIC, if any of this is too personal, please ignore it, and accept my apologies. I am looking to really sharpen my investing skills. I would like to increase my investing profit and reap a steady income stream from it. That is why I ask.
Lastly, if you jump into any MoMo tomorrow, I'd like to read about it.
Thank you in advance. And the very best investing to you.

Tzoo
BillyJoe,
I just looked at TZOO on the charts. Failed breakout. Looks to me--and I am not Spike or IIC, mind you, so double check this--that TZOO has just finished a 4th wave up move. Now doesn't WON say that you shouldn't buy stocks that have completed a 4th wave up, but be prepared to short the 5th wave, because "baby, that's all she wrote."
My viewpoint: I wouldn't touch this with a 10 foot pole, especially in this market. Of course, with my narrow, computer geek chest, I have trouble lifting a ten foot pole anyway.

I book most of my tickets on Travelocity or Orbitz. As a matter of fact I bought some tickets to Paris for $395, tax and all off of travelocity, last month. Who needs TZOO? What good is it???
