Some trivia from Barbarella. The Evil lady Tyrant from the film, Anita Pallenberg, had affairs with at least 2 of the Rolling Stones, Brian Jones and Keith Richards. She and Richards have 2 children now in their 40's.

RTRX -- I'm going to try to get in this one when the market opens next. It's a pretty aggressive/speculative buy for my casino account. (Disclaimer -- This post should not be construed as a recommendation to anyone else as I am not an analyst or a licensed broker. Just trading for my private account.)
Retrophin moves a step closer to becoming the new Questcor? Look at this baby go!

River, Although they are much more reputable than the common message board posters, some of the Seeking Alpha authors are suspect. How do you go about separating the legit from those just promoting their positions?

You have to upgrade or buy the sevices individually. Sometimes they offer them in combo pairs. They seem very expensive to me. I'm sticking with the 199/yr. research. One thing that is disturbing, they must have a daily quota for #1 stocks, likewise they eliminate an equal number daily. If their #1's are based on analyst upgrades and earnings projecting revisions, how can they get an exact number of stocks with upgrades and downgrades each day of the week? I double check everything with VV and any other service I can find free. Zacks and VV rarely agree so when they do it's usually a very good sign. I've found a few mistakes at Zacks such as not downgrading a stock after a terrible earnings report. Also many of the individual services don't seem to be in sync with each other. One will drop a stock the same day another praises it and rates it a strong buy.

Paid services are very tough to like as not only are they not always correct but you really need to stay on the cutting edge of their releases to jump in timely.
I was an early subscriber to that hairy company Davy Jones (R.I.P.) used to promote, so they continue to extend very reasonable renewals to me which I have kept up with.
At times one would think they have some inside tract to give an edge but at other times it has been a bust too.
Like most things, the best results come out of getting some preliminary ideas from others and then performing the best due diligence on your own possible.
As far as this one paid service, year after year it has always more than covered the cost via gains from stocks I would never think have thought of buying otherwise, so I cannot complain.

Thanks Adam. So far this month I have made a lot of money with my free 30-day sub. Enough that, if it were to continue, I would be making well over the cost. Need to talk to them about what I like and what I wouldn't use, and see if I can negotiate a price. Have no prob with watching for those e-mails. Since they admit they can move markets, I sometimes have been able to play the bounce -- sort of like the Cramer bounce LOL. Barb
