This stock is an entirely different animal. It's a patent infringement play. Their product is purely patent enforcement. They totally rely on the US and world courts and systems of justice, the wheels of which turn very slowly and are highly unpredictable. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see this one get to SCOTUS in the not-so-near future. But, in the meantime, the monies from Google awarded by the jury for damages won't be coming. Now the question is whether they will have enough money to keep pursuing all the other worldwide patent infringement cases they are currently working. Vringo: Next Steps After A Disappointing Decision Versus Google
Aug. 16, 2014 9:58 AM ET | About: Vringo, Inc. (VRNG), Includes: GOOG, GOOGL
Disclosure: The author has no positions in any stocks mentioned, and no plans to initiate any positions within the next 72 hours. (More...)
Summary
- Vringo has limited options left to address today's ruling.
- The best option would be an en banc hearing, which might be granted based on the dispute over the finding of the majority.
- The verdict today was a huge blow to Vringo, and a clear win in favor of Google, as Google will no longer have to pay damages.
Vringo Inc. (NASDAQ:VRNG) investors got a shock Friday when an appeals court voted 2-1 that the patent Vringo asserted in litigation against Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) (NASDAQ:GOOGL) was obvious. This news was obviously good for Google investors and helps to prevent Google from paying a verdict which was estimated to be worth hundreds of millions of dollars. This verdict was a huge blow for Vringo, as by finding that the patents were obvious the entire verdict is invalidated, essentially leaving Vringo with not collecting any damages.

River, The biotechs often use me as a whipping boy so I'm sticking to other industries. Saw John Chen of BlackBerry on MSNBC today. It sure looks as if they're recovering well. Would you consider putting and new money in BBRY in the near future ?

I'd love to get it around 10 again...earnings 12/19. Zacks 2. It's worth considering, but not high on my list right now.Originally posted by billyjoe View PostRiver, The biotechs often use me as a whipping boy so I'm sticking to other industries. - Vringo (VRNG +2.9%) states COO Alexander R. Berger is transitioning to a consulting role. The company adds a new employment agreement has been reached with CFO Anastasia Nyrkovskaya.
- Vringo has also provided an update on its various court battles. Hearings were recently held in Germany, Romania, and India for Vringo infringement suits against ZTE, and an infringement ruling was levied against ZTE in the U.K. A Brazilian injunction against ZTE remains in force.
- A German court will rule on ZTE and Asus' alleged infringement of two Vringo patents in early 2015, and a ZTE appeal of a German infringement ruling for another patent is set for July 22. Oral hearings are set to take place in France and Malaysia, and a trial is expected to begin in Australia in 2H15.
- Shares fell 22% on Monday after Vringo announced a U.S. federal appeals court had denied Vringo's petition for an en banc review of its August ruling regarding Vringo's suit against Google.

Well, I don't own this but seem to have no trouble paying for boosters to get through tough levels LOL. In fact, my grandkids gave me a $25 giftcard to buy "air" (boosters) for my birthday. They keep coming out with new games that are fun to play while relieving the boredom of sitting in front of the stock market screens. So...Originally posted by billyjoe View PostRiver,

So, bad things happen in threes. In the last week, my LED TV of 15 years got overwhelmed by ATT-Uverse and I had to replace it. Then, 2-days ago my PC hard drive crashed. Although Windows was able to repair it by going back in time, McAfee Total Protection got screwed up and I have been talking to India for the last three hours. It still has a newly identified problem. So the "high level (II) techs" are calling me back tomorrow to try to fix it. And in the meantime a close relative landed in ICU. Let's see, it's Friday the 13th right?
On my way out for a 2-martini lunch ( or maybe 3).Last edited by riverbabe; 02-13-2015, 02:48 PM.

Interesting. I just moved my 14 year old Dell tower still running XP up to the spare room. Would be interested to know just what model you chose and any other info a prospective buyer (an English major) might profit by. Thank you.Originally posted by riverbabe View PostAm totally thrilled with my new Dell tower! It set itself up! Took 1/2 hour including plug in time. Just like a Smart TV.
