    Your slicing bread and you cut your finger instead .......TRY using cayenne pepper.......apply in to the wound, YES it will sting .......but the bleeding should stop!

      My Nordic Track Stomach and Back Machine had a spring which broke after 18 yr so I decided to chuck the machine . I did purchase another machine to take its place .....and that machine is "Body By Jake" Stomach and Back Machine for $128 and change which included Fedx shipping to my house. Heartland America is the company from which I purchased the machine ....... I am not a shill for the company because they do sell a lot of outdated refurbished junk , but the Body By Jake machine is new and appears to be a quality piece and worth the money . Back in 1995 I paid close to $500 for the Nordic Track machine.....so $128 sounded like a fair price.

          Protein For Weight Loss and Muscle.

          Whey protein is the best protein and every gram of protein is about 4 calories. However when the Whey Protein is ingested it burns 6 calories per gram , and this promotes excellent muscle building. Designer Whey is a good quality protein but there are many others. AMAZON has many choices. Folks remember not to take in too much protein. The recommended protein that is scientifically proven to increase muscle mass is .8 gram of protein per kiliogram or 2.2 lbs of body weight, which translates into .36 grams of protein for each pound of body weight. So a 200 pound person optimally should take only 72 grams of protein. Too much protein leads to toxicity of the liver, kidneys and brain!

            Phoenix, I'm still swimming about 3 1/3rd mile per week and after several years of doing this my cholesterol and weight along with other blood chemistry never varied much. My blood is checked every 6 months. Recently I started fixing up a small home close to my own. Figuring I had 60 days to scrape,prime, and paint the house with Oct. 15th as the deadline, I've now scraped paint 27 days straight sometimes twice a day. At my last checkup my weight dropped 8 pounds and my cholesterol was 187 the lowest number in years. The other numbers LDL and HDL were also great. So my advice is to scrape paint vigorously for several weeks in a row. Now if my shoulder doesn't give out before Oct. 15th I'll be doing well.

              Billie Exercise is the key along with diet .....no doubt about it ......there was an article in the local paper about a Dr who is still practicing well into his nineties.......he still goes to the gym 2-3 days per week!

                              I'm willing to bet that 99% of people on this forum won't know who Charles Atlas was. With the notable exception of the HUGE one, of course, whom no one would even dare with the sand! LOL
