Good God. Those patterns were all we ever used! Ever have to make your own clothes? It's an art. With a Singer sewing machine, of course. Thank you, Mom!

I do recall a song sung by Irish singer Mary Black called Katie in which she mentions "the old pedalled Singer" and I knew what that was when I heard that. And have seen at least one of the old machines with that wide foot pedal which made the sewing mechanism go up and down. The man who does my hair married a woman from the old country who is a seamstress with her own shop in Hamilton, MA. She gets all the work she can handle, does much better than he does.

Sometimes you want to present an excel spreadsheet when posting on the MrMarket site. I found a couple of "apps" that will do the work for you. Here is one that works well:

In part 3) click on "BBC Code"
In 4), click on "Create BBC table"
You will then see the raw BBC Code - if you scroll down you will see a preview. I highlighted the raw code, copied it, then pasted it into the reply at MrMarket.

I used the "app" to align the columns in my post above.

You could use this app for reporting the POTY results - rather than having to create an image on Imgur.

Gonna lighten some. 30-yr at an all time low yield, talk of moving the Olympics to London from China, plus we've come a long way.

I think you mean moving Olympics from Japan to London. They were talking about moving marathon and other running events from Tokyo to Sapporo due to excessive heat. Also talk of moving China Grand Prix, but then it wouldn't be the China Grand Prix.

Sheesh. Probably not a good time to admit I follow about 30 people on various social media who are training for the games and already have my DVR set for the Olympic trials marathon a week from tomorrow (Saturday, noon on NBC).

Gotta add to this. Almost posted something on twitter. At least here I'm making a fool of myself in front of a limited amount of people.

Bought some more SAN. Price is approaching levels not seen since the original Brexit vote. Dividend is in the high 6es and is well covered by earnings. Or so it seems. Brexit worries some, though I never really understood why. Headquartered in Madrid the bank operates in a lot of places including New England, New York, Conn. and New jersey. Banks are getting clobbered of course and Germany, the strongest European economy, reported no GDP growth last night for the most recent quarter. When I bought at Brexit the stock went from under 4 to over 7 in a year and 1/2 and paid about the same dividends all the while.

As of today, I own all if the above except for TDOC, a stock that I love and want back into as soon as I see a buying pattern. I had a double position in TDOC previously. I did a lot of trading this morning, I will post my latest in the Stocks For The Long Term thread.

Can't quite decipher why V and MA are down 15% from their recent highs and AXP 20%.
