I'm betting he will continue to play but somewhere else. His Brookline (MA) house is on the market. Giselle and their kids are moving to Greenwich (CT) to be near New York City for her fashion stuff. His son with Bridget Moynahan lives in NYC. His trainer and business partner Alex Guerrero has sold his house near the Foxborough stadium (he only went to the Cape, tho). He has left his spokesman position with Best Buddies. No family in Boston.

At any rate PLG began the week at $1.20 and earlier today traded as high as $1.99 and as I write is at $$1.82, an increase of over 50% for the week. It's not clear to me exactly what is happening, maybe they are going to start marketing CBD products, but it is gratifying to see.
The above from 8-30-19. As of 12/20 PLG was trading at $1.31. Today it is up 30% to $2.52 (a day's high at $2.86) on 10X normal volume. They did file an earnings report on EDGAR yesterday but I see no information there that would justify any kind of move (except maybe down). We'll see.

Here’s a press release I found on Seeking Alpha. Since it’s a press release, you have to take it with a grain of salt, but maybe there’s some information in there that will explain the optimism in the stock right now. The release certainly paints a very glowing picture about the possibilities for the Waterberg mine.

Addendum: According to Simply Wall Street, the spike is due to heavy insider buying.

                  Thank you, that was interesting.

Fairly far down in that report is the paragraph: "On July 12, 2019, Platinum Group, together with an affiliate of Anglo American Platinum Limited (AGPPF) (''AAP''), launched a new venture through a jointly owned company, Lion Batteries Technologies Inc. (''Lion'') to accelerate the development of next generation battery technology using platinum and palladium." I realize there are many people doing battery work but if something came of that they would perhaps have an inside track since they (plan to) mine their own platinum and palladium rather than buy it elsewhere.

The above from 8-13-19. This expired today. I see I didn't mention in the original it was a $5 strike. On 8/13 the stock was at $8.05, the option at $3.20. Finished today at $10.98 and $5.90. 36% increase for the stock, 84% for the option.

Routine stuff but I think it's interesting to look at a real trade and the relative results twixt stock and option. Many ads for option trading services give examples where the options deliver much more impressive results. Also, if the stock had gone down $2.93 instead of up $2.93 the stock would be worth $5.12, the option $.12 and I would have lost 96% of my money.
