    Hey Tom,
Yep HLEX looks ready doesn't it. It almost got to 23.90 this morning for the entry short I was talking about. (see charts above)

Intraday descending triangle breakdown now after the bc moves I was expecting to see. The triangle breakdown corresponds to a 'c' failure, so it justifies a short here at 23.52 with a stop either over hod or the other side of the descending line. Or wait for some strength to short into after a sold break down of the triangle with an even tighter stop to try for maximum r/r.

    Good luck.

        B.J ,
I thought the line was funny. Maybe lines like that would keep me from getting stopped out of positions. Or would they stop me out sooner ?

Just closed the first 2 YM positions for +368 and +252. I'll leave the 3rd from 10823 open at this stage.

              Thanks.

Weekly bias still technically short, but the daily shows a channel long recently. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the longer-term buy signal you point out works on this occasion too.

Looking at the top chart could you interpret it as 5 waves up with the last wave not quite through to completion? I think I see 5 waves.

                Thnx ski.
Yep, the way I'd look at the count is it's done a big 1,2 and it's in the progress of the big 3 (with smaller 12345 in progres (still in 3)), and if that's true then there will be smaller corrective ways due soon. EW gets tricky sometimes, and I don't like the look of the 12345 that appears there now, so I look for a better 'looking' 5 count, and if doesn't appear, then I assume it was never a count in the first place, at least not one I am bothered to wade through.

Dudes. I am very impressed with the bull today. In the face of bearish intraday Vector the bull is snorting. There are surely some squeezed bears out there. This is hurtin the knuckas that don't use stops or use wide ones. I'm holding this last YM with stop to even; see what this steroid-pumped bull can give it At the same time, I'm fully aware that when it comes, it will likely sell hard.

Q calls are +140% and proceeding nicely... where are my shades! Now I just need ESCL to get with the program and I may just save some face in POTW!

                    SCOTC:
CIB stopped out of one of its positions for -4 today. Switched that over to MCO at 59.11 a minute ago; that looks like it's ready to rocknroll on the daily.

                    Open port is +3.5% currently.

And the current Superstock is GOOG (ha! no surprise there). And that's for best single position percentage, AND average of positions. What a stock!

Thanks guys for your thoughts on oil. Needless to say, the next few months for oil will be interesting.

DOW triple top on the 1 min chart, but sheesh, that might be a bug on the windscreen of this bull! Shoot, here comes the splat as I type....

Have a good look at it folks; that is called an impulse. From all the chop this year one might be forgiven for not expecting this kind of a move, but remember, coiling choppiness often precedes impulses like this one.
Next resistance for the DOW is 10984 then 11350 price resistances.

OK, closed out the last YM for +116.
I'm back to stalking the next swing as a sleeping bull at this stage.

Oh, and as far as leveraging the YM winner goes, it was a huge success!

The single entry point achieved +352. The combined win for the swing was +704. The improvement was a full 100% better performance, i.e. I doubled the win amount. Oh, OK, slightly less; take off the 20 points in losses while establishing the position. So the improvement is only 94% better!

                              • Greetings, and Happy holidays to all,

                                Per this chart

I see a nice short trade to the mid $600 level.IMO money is flowing from this type of stock to Google type issues. This chart is a 3 year weekly and appears to show support in 100 pts down.Any thoughts ?

Also Spike I am researching getting into E-minis,if thats your main trade vehicle,I assume it provides a better edge than the single issues.Would you clarify if possible your reason why you trade it over others?

                                cordially Tom
