I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Oh goodie...I had a chance to bail on it for even and didn't. Mistake that one... gotta go outside and give myself an uppercut now. Thanks dmk! haha
Is it still buyble? I take it you mean buyable? Or do you mean bubable! lol Seriously, I wouldn't be opening a new position for it now....yet. The failed set up today signals that it wants lower. I'll exit these calls at resistance somewhere tomorrow, take my medicine, and look for the a or c sometime down the road.
Still holding these Q calls as of close; not for long. They remain +67% but will definately be exiting early strength tomorrow.
The fat lady sang for me today, and my bias changes to neutral today. Glad to be out of the YM swing long now. Pretty much got most of it, and stalking a swing YM short now.
LOL yea buyable and it looks like it may have put in a short term low today...IMO
Market going to resume uptrend tomorrow? Maybe, we shall see...
Spike,
Glad for MCO. It made me some $$ on POTW before I sold. You know I was just kidding on that other thread ... don't you ? You're really not weird even if you do spend an awful amount of time messing with graphs , lines , parabolas, etc. which brings me to my point. Our friends at another site which we won't name will not answer my question. They say it is ok to purchase a stock the first time it drops to its 50 dma . How does one know if this is the beginning of a downward spiral for a flawed stock or just the healthy retreat of a stock moving ahead a little too fast? You've got 2 stocks that have just tumbled from identical $55 prices to identical $45 prices and $45 happens to be the 50 dma for each. The ghost of Jesse Livermore comes to the bedchamber of Spike just around Christmas. "Just as I was your trading partner in life , I'm trying to advise you from the other side". "Look at these identical stocks , for one will bring you a fortune beyond your wildest dreams , the other will result in your living in an alley in Reseda, California, with IIC as your landlord. No stops are permitted . Use your considerable talents and chose wisely."
Well, Spike there you have it. What are you going to look for ? I have an excuse , it's this new medicine.
Runner, I'm bearish on it until it breaks that 2 day SHS neckline. Then I'd be bull again.
And had it generated a nicer bullish intraday pattern today it might have been different. But what I see last 2 days is a failed channel long yesterday, and failure at resistance. It's possible doing a R shoulder over 5 days, coming off a SHS at the top. I think it's going lower despite that daily candle today.
lol no you're not! I'd be tellin' you if you were.
Just head in distractions right now and can't post much. I'm still trying to understand what you were talkin' about while you were on that medication.
By the way, I'll take a 6-month supply of whatever that was! lol
Spike,
I don't think you want this mystery drug. Marketed under the name Provigil , it's about $12 per pill unless insurance pays for it. Street value , I wouldn't want to guess. A U.S. top sprinter was banned for using it as a prescribed substance for narcolepsy. Also has been shown to be effective for severe sleep apnea, other sleep disorders , ADD , MS , even fibromyalgia . They don't know for sure how it works. Active ingredient modafinil. It's giving me headaches and I rarely get headaches. Can't stand this much longer.

Try chasing the next pill with a triple shot of GoJi brandy dude!.... No headaches guaranteed.... Works every time.... Well.... At least till you wake up that is....hehehe
Lye,
I'm glad you didn't go into medicine. I'd probably not wake up after adding the GoJi brandy. That's about the only thing they specified. "Do not take any alcoholic beverages with this medicine".
