Isn't the way to sell tix on ebay to sell something like a cheap keychain....... a rabbits foot one or something....... say the bidding is for that, but you will throw in 4 tix to the Super bowl, as a extra gift....... it's not your fault someone wants to pay 5 grand for a rabbits foot.......... that's what I usually see on ebay for ticket sales..........
      Gotta love the big board!

I'm going to Paris in Febuary and have been looking at rooms in the Latin Quarter. The cheapest, I've found on Orbitz are around 120 Euro and up. I can afford that, but it would be nice to find something a little cheaper. I'm only there for 3 nights, so a 2 star room is fine. All I need is a bed with a bathroom and a warm shower.
I was there in March, but I stayed near the airport. This time I want to stay in town.
Any suggestions? I know there's got to be some Paris experts here...

I was in Paris 6 weeks ago, and when I came there, I was told its out of business.

                No Joke!

Bummer! Where did you stay at Mystiky? I'm thinking the Latin Quarter would be good. This past year I stayed close to the airport (CDG).

                    True Meaning of Christmas

                    Webs,

Are you ready for the Truth? Sit down please . . . .

In the Bible, there is no specific date given for Christ's birth. We are not commanded to celebrate it. (Therefore, it is a man-made holiday). Although it is the most celebrated holiday in the "Christian world," it is not a God-given holiday. There are 52 holidays per year that we are commanded to celebrate, the Lord's Day, the first day of the week.

Only 4 chapters of the Bible's 1189 chapters cover the birth of Christ. So it is not a big issue to God. (Consider the fact that in the Gospel of John alone, chapters 13-21 cover the last week of his life). Furthermore, God has commanded us to observe communion "to proclaim the Lord's death until He comes [again]" (1 Corinthians 11:26). In other words, the most important thing to remember is His death. God has given us the ordinance of communion to help us remember the important fact: that Christ died as an atonement for our sins. Atonement means that Christ paid a reparation to God to appease His wrath for our sins. God is angry with sinners and will damn them to Hell. Christ died to fully pay the penalty of our sins, so that God is no longer angry with the sinner. However, the sinner must accept the sacrifice of Christ by faith alone (Romans 3:20-2 so that his sins are completely forgiven. When a person calls upon Jesus to save him from his sins, and trusts the finished work of Christ on the cross alone for salvation from Hell to Heaven, his sins are once and for all forgiven, he immediately has eternal life, and his is a true Christian. This is the most important decision any person can ever make because it changes his eternal destiny from Hell to Heaven.

Christmas, therefore, as it is most often celebrated in the U.S.A., is a distraction from the message that Christ came to pay for our sins. Christmas is simply the supposed date (no one knows for sure) that Christ was born into the world. But the most important thing was His death to pay for our sins, and we know when He died, and when He rose again.

God bless Webs and all on this forum!

I see that DHB got knocked back down today. I think DHB will be up and down, until it's listed on the Nasdaq. I believe a Nasdaq listing will come sometime next year. I owned DHB 5 times this past year, but I don't think I would buy it now. Maybe later.

I still like BBW, and will be keeping an eye on it.

Jim Cramer loves LU. He pumps it every morning on his radio show. Why LU??? Is LU really that great?

SIRI is starting to get on my nerves. I used to love it, but after I make a little more money on it, I think I'll kick it out the door just as I would a little puppy that just tinkled on my best carpet.

Speaking on tinkling on carpets, what about Martha Stewart? MSO??? Why didn't I buy it when I said I would. Martha used to make me puke until she went to prison and aquired her new, bad girl image. Now I think she's hot! I can only hope that her stock gets bashed by CNBC or the Wall Street Journal, so I can buy it at a reasonable price. I think MSO could be the next TZOO. Just think...MSO at $100 bucks. I think it may happen. Martha will be bigger than the Pope! Just wait and see.

Guys, we have the best board going on the internet. I appreciate all of the advice and tips I've received this year and I hope I've helped some of you also. I've made much more than I ever thought I would and I hope next year is better. I'm expecting 2005 to be a very good year financially! With a positive attitude, anything can be accomplished.
If you think you can or can't, you're right.

                              French Vulcans

                              Webs, IIC,

IIC, did you say that Webs is a French Vulcan? What kind of a concoction is that? And I was thinking of inviting Webs up to my place next time he makes it to Monroe, WI. My kids have never seen a real live vulcan.

IIC/Webs: what are your investment goals for 2005? My goal is to double the size of my portfolio. I think/hope that that is a reasonable goal, provided I work hard enough. I plan to work harder at investing and studying, and would ask IIC what if he would like to direct my study. What should I read? What sites might you recommend? Anything you want to dump on my plate, I am ready to look into doing.

Webs, you are invited to my place next time you make it up our way [ ]

God bless you both, and have a great 2005!

My goal for 2005 is to settle for no less than a 100% gain on my portfolio. I retire in 13 1/2 years and would like a few million dollars to go along with my pension.
I know of too many people who think they will be able to depend on a pension and social security. I suppose you can if you don't mind living like a miser and spending your senior years in front of a TV. I would rather work than do that.
I have a 25% gain this year so I need to improve my performance by 75% next year to meet my goal. My goal for this year was to just break even so I'm already ahead!
I think 2005 will provide us with plenty of opportunities for profit.
