Well, I think that in two weeks time, the whole Big 20 will be up again.

BillyJoe, what do you think about LSCP? Has it made any of your scans?

For some reason LSCP didn't make my screen, but it must have been close. All earnings and sales must be increasing at an increasing rate compared to previous quarters just to keep my list from getting too big.LCAV has been on the list for months. It looks like they had a split along the way.

LU is a Jim Cramer recommend. That means he's down on the stock from where he bought it, and is pleading with the public to buy the stock so he can get out.

One thing about LU: people trade the stock. What is the daily volume, 50 million shares or so? Another SIRI. At least it is liquid.

LSCP: Was a cup and handle pick I had that jumped up $3.30 on Monday, another $2.65+ on Tuesday, and has since plummetted all the way back to $30 yesterday and today. There is a way to play these failed breakouts: it is called the Turtle strategy. Wait 20 days past the breakout day, and then trade in the same direction as the stock is moving. This system takes into account that most breakouts are failed breakouts.

Breakout system only works well in bull market. That's the biggest lesson I learned last year. Buying support (like Spike's system) works well in weak market.

Today I bought AAI. Airtran is a discount airline company who's stock has been beat down since December. Realizing that this is a risky play, I took a small position and am setting my stop at 5%.
My buy price is $9.59 and my 5% loss point is $9.11. If all goes right I will sell AAI at $11.02.
Whether I win or lose, I have a plan in place and will be happy knowing that I followed that plan. With a 5% stop, I will not take a significant loss. $11.02 gives me a 15% gain and will be a fair profit.

I will keep the rest of my porfolio in cash until the market straightens out.

Yes, afterhours may suck, but I do have some good news!

From weather.com boat offshore forecast...

Did you read the analysts' recommends at Yahoo finance on this stock? Downgrade on 5 Jan 2005 to sell by Merrill Lynch. Sorry.

On the other hand, I told Spike about the downgrade of one of Mr. Market's top five, and it jumped up .22 on the news . . . . And it was Merrill Lynch that downgraded SIRI . . . .
