I don't pay any attention to upgrades or downgrades. If I did I would have been scared out of my shares and have made a bundle on SIRI.

Whether I win or lose, I have a plan in place and will be happy knowing that I followed that plan. With a 5% stop, I will not take a significant loss. $11.02 gives me a 15% gain and will be a fair profit.

I will keep the rest of my porfolio in cash until the market straightens out.

Thanks Spike. AAI closed at the low of the day today at $9.35. I will sell at $9.11 or $11.02, whichever comes first.

The advantage I have over last year is that I am now playing with the houses money rather than my own. I will take more of the houses money before this year is up!

Update...AAI actually bounced back to $9.41, right at the close.

What does this mean for Webs? This means a day on the Gulf catching Grouper big enough to pull you over the side of the boat. 70 degree weather and calm seas. The weekend is looking good. Time to gas up the boat!
The fishing was trip was not real productive. I caught a couple of undersized Grouper and some Red Snapper, which are out of season. But, like I've always heard,"A bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work".

Let's see if the market does better.

            Fishin'--for cash

            Webs,

Lousy day fishin' in Alabama? Well, we've got a foot of snow sandwiched between two days of freezing rain on both sides. I had two church people fall in the freezing rain this week: one fell on her porch and broke her ankle; the other fell off his tractor and broke his hip. I say, "A bad day fishin' is better than a good day shoveling snow."

Now to business. I noticed on AAI's chart that we now have a quadrupal bottom, and it is right at support! Might be a good time to jump on it. The mood in the market will set the mood in AAI (IMO). I think it ought to make a decent daytrade. Trouble with AAI is that it is an airline stock. Warren Buffet (if he knows anything) says that the first dollar has yet to be made in the airline industry.

            Best to you, Webs!

              Snow

A good day shoveling is equil to a three mile run. Snow shoveling is better for you tho.

The plan is completed and, unfortunately, AAI has dropped to my $9.11 sell point. No problem though, because I lost very little and will make money elsewhere!

Outstanding! Good for you for sticking to your plan. Don't you feel good about that?! It's party time.
The good thing is now you get to make a new plan. Much better than holding AAI till it gets to 7.50 or worse - cuz that's where it's headed now that support has failed.....

You're right Spike. I'm already looking forward to my next plan of attack. Maybe we'll find a bottom on SIRI or DHB. I'm looking at this market sell off as a good opportunity for bargains. My goal of 100% return remains!

It's looking like I may be staying in cash for the rest of the week, unless I find a bargain I can't resist. I figure that if I don't get to trade this month, I still have another 11 months to get my 100% gain.
                        Anybody else in cash?

AAI closed out at my 5% loss point.

Yes AAI was a risky play but it was a good trade as I got out with a minimal loss. Losing is all part of the game and it's all about knowing how to lose. I am still on my way to a 100% or better gain this year!
I have a few canidates that I'm watching to help me reach my goals. These candates are EP, DHB, SIRI, NVT, VDSI, MFLX, BBW and CMN.

At this time, I am leaning towards CMN. CMN is a Mr Market pick and as we all know, Mr Market picks usually become winners. I may buy CMN in the next day or two. As for the rest of my picks, I'll be checking the charts for a proper channel entry point.

The market shall bow at my knees! I rock!!!

PS...I posted this same message at IBD. I hope they don't attack me too much for expressing my optimism...

Webs, I'll give you the green light for CMN. It just hit a 50% retrace today at 33.13! That is the 50% retrace from the move from 28.10 to the recent high of 38.19. It also lines up really well for a 1-5 move with an ABC correction (although purist EWers would say 4 can't penetrate the top of 1). In any case, I'm going to trade it and target 15% or 38.10. Hopefully it will fill me at 33.19 tomorrow.

Think I'll wander over to IBD to see which of "usual suspects" goes nuts and accuses you of horrible, nasty things such as optimism and positivity!

$33.19 sounds good to me. I'll join you on that one!
