    Tom,

I appreciate anything you post on this thread. Keep it up!

    I'll watch PGH.

Now how about a hint for Tomrich: My analyst friend says FRO is going to pay a surprize $5 divy on 2/23/05. Right now Scottrade is calling for $2.50. The thing is gaining in price each day for the past 4 days. You might consider a long until the ex-date at least. Of course, do what you think best. You're doing a great job already.

As always, God's best blessings upon you and yours.

A $5 divy would be nice. But I'm wondering if FRO wouldn't hold back to even out the divy in the next quarter.

We won't know until FRO announces. Hopefully, it'll be this week.
      Happy investing,
      Dave

My opinion is worth no more than the price you paid for me to give it.

I'd be expecting maybe another 4 days of run up. Nice daily wedge break up today, which will give it fuel for a good boost. Not too late imho.

The wedge (probably more strickly a triangle) I am seeing is in the pic below. Just googled for "wedge breakout chart pattern" and found http://trader.snowseed.com/patterns.htm
Triangle and wedge patterns can be powerful continuation or reversal patterns, depending on their shape.

                that discuss triangles and wedges.
Like ascending triangles, wedges and triangle breakouts can lead to quick tradeable moves.

                  Eenc

                  Spike,

Well, I sold EENC at 18.40 because it was "acting weak." That was $3,000 ago! UUUUGGGGGGHHHHHHHH! I made money, but not that much!

I have been watching VLO move from $50 to $68 these past three weeks, but never bought. UUUUGGGGGHHHHHHH!

                  That's the way it goes.

:/ Feel for ya. But look at it this way: another lesson learned! Never mind that you just paid $3k for the lesson. Just ignore that bit Lesson: Appreciate the power of channel longs and wedges/triangles! EENC is acting very bullish and busted the channel from the Dec high with force. It looks headed to the upper channel from the 13.15 low, which targets 23ish. Look for up to 5 more days of push. Might rest for a bit in between like recent bullish pushes, but I wouldn't be surprised if this one moves up another couple bucks. It's way too late for entry though in my book. Best to ya.

                        • Greetings,
I hope some may have caught EENC this morning, dipped to high 17s at the open,by the time my market order was filled it had popped to 18.79.Im hoping for a return to 20 before too long.

These dist dips are more volatile when the runup has been good like EENCs lately.
                          AS I type its back over 19,if your quick on your feet you can be rewarded.;

                          good luck to all,
                          cordially Tom

                            Tom,

I watched it and could have jumped in,too, but am spending a chunk of change to buy a house and couldn't risk it. UUUGGGGHHHHHH!

I hope it gets up over $21 for you.

Wow - that's quite a discount today. Certainly not what I expected. Beautiful channel long today!

                                Greetings Spike,
I usually look for the dip to hit the 50dma,this one really spiked down quick.
In the past I would use limit orders, but a majority of the time they wouldnt get filled,as the dip occurs so fast.I now watch live quotes, and try and time my market order near the low.By the time my order filled it had risen .50.

As a point of reference,Ive collected approx.12 mos worth of dist payments including commision cost this month. So far its the only system that Ive been able to trade consistently for a profit.

Concerning FRO,looking at historical price data,it has always run up in price to the Ex date.My theory is that nobody would short going into the divy. as they would be responsible for the divy payment of approx. $6.00?

I closed out on friday for a nice profit, but now I realise it will likely keep on till the 3rd.Does my theory sound plausible?

cordially and best wishes to all ELN positions,That really was a blindside, hopefully this group can help all recover.
                                Tom
