Congratulations to these portfolios this week. Some very impressive gains. Whiz leads the pack this week with an outstanding 58.9 % gain in his URZ play and he bailed early. Impetuous youth. Who is this Whiz kid anyway. Showing the grownups how it's done. Billyjoe comes up with a $75.93 gain in GOOG that's good for 17.9 %. That's got to feel good. We're making subtle headway. There will always be setbacks and losses but I think the tide is going to be changing on keeping them to a reasonable percentage when they do happen. It's an interesting phenomenom but I think that it has something to do with having the ports and trade results up in front of everyone that will help in adjusting our mentallity towards how we trade and wanting to look and feel better about our results. If it works and gets us closer to maximizing our potentials then any port in a storm is good as far as I'm concerned. Haven't heard from DMK 112, Gatorman, or Ninner in quite awhile. Report in guys. Runner was out of town this week so we can expect him back this coming week.
Still plenty of room for anyone interested in placing their trades and portfolio up in front of everyone for observation and scrutiny. Everyone and anyone is welcome. Here's today's sheet:

I came across this little tidbit on the Briefing.com's newswire today and haven't had a chance to read what was said but it looks to be what prompted the spike up in MED today. Anyone happen to see or read what it said in the article? I think it was posted on Bernie Schaeffers website this morning.

09:51 MED Medifast trades to session highs, positive newsletter cited (10.70 +0.23)

Here's the daily chart on MED and a couple of things on how I see it playing out over the next week or two.

Thanks Doug. I hadn't had a chance to read the article but I figured it was something of that nature. Hope it carries into next week. Every dog deserves a bone occassionally.

                Ski,
I'd like to see that happen, but with USC at home , they've got a huge advantage. USC is certainly vulnerable. I hope it's a mega scoring game for entertainment purposes . If USC does win and ends up facing Ohio State, I'd like to bet IIC something such as a buckeye necklace vs. something from California.

                  Webs,
I wanted to make sure you heard me bud. I knew you were in your jammies and taking a nappy.

                  Billyjoe,
If USC beats ND, then Ohio St. will crush USC. Ohio St. belongs in the NFL. I would love to see a rematch of Ohio St. and Michigan just to see Ohio St. beat them again. If ND does beat USC I don't think they would jump over Michigan to get to the title game since Michigan already beat ND.

It would have to be sumthin' cheap 'cause I don't think 'SC would have a prayer against O State...Anyway, I'm more interested in seeing Oklahoma beat Oklahoma State...Perhaps NEBRASKA could beat the Sooners in the Big 12 Championship and go to something better than the Toilet Bowl this year...Doug

Cornhuskers looked good beating up on Colorado yesterday. They look like they might be back.

They looked good in the last quarter...But it shoulda been a blowout from the beginning...Doug

BLUD looks like an interesting long from here

                            The negatives are:
                            A) lots of insider selling-- fortunately options exercises, much of it from the departing CEO
                            B) the new CEO is possibly a crook and there was a class action a few years ago.

                              Gwhiz,
I owned BLUD a few months ago and sold for a profit, but believe their glory days are over for the time being. In tracking experimental portfolios for Peanuts, IIC, and Rob over the last 3-4 weeks out of 34 picks, BLUD ranks 33rd in performance and is one of only 4 in negative territory. In tracking other ports over long time periods I've learned that those that perform well tend to continue that trend and those that start off down tend to stay that way also. Of course there are exceptions to this theory, but they are not common.
