Just out of curousity, what does a trip like that cost to fly in, accomadations, and lift tickets. Is the heli skiing expensive or is there a group rate? Glad you had a great trip and are back safely.
Heli and Cat skiing isnt cheap. Cat: about 800/day including all lodging and meals and Helicopter ride to the lodge which is in the middle of nowhere accessible only by snowmobile otherwise. . Heli was extra 1000/day/person (group rate. ) all virgin powder skiing . One of those life experiences you gotta do if you like to ski.

An few passages from the Art of War. Over a thousand years old and still applies to any engagement in todays world.

        good enough for Patton...

Patton obviously took a few pages out of Sun Tzu's book as well:

We'll not need food when we are winning! We will eat the enemy!
        - George S. Patton

Patton was somewhat outrageous in his methodolgy but he was a winner and knew how to run his armies and defeat an opponent. We need more decisive leadership with the will to win and demolish a foe. But before that we need leaders to make sure we are going to war for the right reasons.
Thanks for that site. I'm enjoying it and have gone back and started to read the Art of War over again electronically this time. Their forum provides some interesting dialogue. Have you tried it? Great site.

No, I haven't actually. I just skimmed it for some quotes, but missed out on the extras. I'll be sure to go back and take a closer look, though. Thanks for pointing that out! I really can't get enough Sun Tzu discussion.

I was looking at it this morning at the open and it was selling at 7.75/7.80 range and I thought that that was awful cheap. I didn't realize that it had closed that low on last Friday. It did make a nice move today. I don't own it and missed out on today's move. I still own a nice chunk of FORG.

www.jmdutton.com. This is an interesting site that deals with institutional and hedge funds and does research for them. I've just recently become aware of them and have signed up for their free research and reports. Lots of good leads on stocks here. Here is their report for the period listed: if you go to their site they will have a brief descriptive report on all the stocks on this list.

Skiracer has left the building. I don't know why for sure but he was unhappy with the direction of this board. Let me be the first to say that I will miss him and hope he checks in on us now and then, even if he doesn't want to post.

Maybe he went back to IBD?

                      Ernie,
I didn't want to get into this but as long as you have brought the subject up I would like to get it straight. As I stated in my email to you there were several reasons for my distancing myself from the forum and my decision to leave. I just want to set the record straight and then you guys can have at it and me if you feel the need.

                      1. I cannot stomach Peanuts anymore for a variety of reasons which I'm sure I have expressed on several other occassions publicly. Rather than be a disruptive entity and put my business on the street I would rather just stop posting and leave it at that. You guys can have him.
                      2. Several months ago you brought in a few "legends", these were your own words, to add to your sites already impressive list of posters, and that proved to be disasterous as none of them are here anymore. They all thought their shit didn't stink and most of us were lower on the species list than theirselves. It's your site and you can do what you want with it.
                      3. The commentary regarding the technical analysis of stocks and charts has relatively gone down the crapper since Spike left and with his having gone on to other things my interest in the posts here has basically evaporated. I just don't get what I want from the site anymore and the if you look at the posts in general you hardly see any of the kind of interaction that we used to have regarding the posting of charts and the commentary that goes with it.
                      4. It seems there's becoming more of a "me, me, me, attitude regarding how impressed some are with their abilities and prowness in picking stocks. They are definitely legends, but in their own minds, moreso than in substantial evidence to the fact. I hate that egotistical crap more than anything else and it brings out the very worst in me which at this point in my life even I don't like or need. It was a major contributing factor in my decision.
                      5. I like Louetta and have nothing against her but I am so tired of the menial chatter about her boobs, ass, legs, etc. and the time and number of posts spent talking about all of that. I had enough of it.
                      6. The disentagration of worthwhile stock talk.
7 thru as far as you can count: Peanuts and his craving for affirmation, adulation, acknowledgement, and the never ending unfulfilled need for this along with the fact of how highly he thinks of himself and the need to express that to everyone who will listen.

My time is a commodity that I cannot and will not waste. I did love the interaction and the commaradie that I found here over the past two years plus that I have spent posting on your forum. That feeling has disappeared and the desire to continue on here with it. That's it in a nutshell. Have at me if you wish. I'm sure I have my own faults and that there are people here who feel the same way about me. Good luck to all of you except Peanuts. I really cannot stomach him anymore.
