Gained another portfolio to place on the sheet. Webs has decided that he can handle having his plays up there for scrutiny by the forum. Good show Webs and a great day for the VTP supreme commander. There are a couple of changes to the ports today. Billyjoe exited his positon in MOT and added a new position in ELN. I like the play and am stalking it myself although I'm exercising some patience to see which was the wind blows. I love the look of the daily and it certainly is tightening up within the bolinger bands and that symetrical triangle pattern that along with the bolinger bands is coming to a head. This stock is getting ready to do something and could very easily explode to the upside. A decent earnings report could send it off the board. Webs has it in his port and has the best entry I've seen of the ones on this sheet. He's in at 15.23. The early bird sometimes gets the worm. I hope Webs and Billyjoe and anyone else here holding ELN score bigtime with this play. Runner exited AKAM on a stop out and I shorted FMD at 17. Those were the changes to the ports today. Here's the sheet:

Sold out of ATHR today, I'm pretty happy about that trade.

            Bought ELN calls @ 1.15

Still holding the BOT calls, I think they still have some life left in them.

I'm not sure how to list the calls on BOT or ELN. I'm just going to put the symbol in and the cost and let it go at that. I'll enter your changes right now DMK.

I have a question. How do I delete that spreadsheet that I posted in that last post of the forum members ports?

DMK had a couple of changes which I inserted into the sheet and now we are up to date. It's an interesting assortment of stocks with very little duplicates within the members. Because of the close interaction there is amongst the forum members I find it somewhat amazing that the stocks getting played by more than one member is at a minimum

                  Ski,
I don't mind if you post my loss on MOT or any other position I close.

I think you can just click 'edit' on your post.

                      DMK,
I'm alittle neurotic in that everytime before I click on submit reply I click on preview post and I get the preview. Just to see that the post is the way that I meant it to be. Once that preview comes up whatever it is in the post whether it is a chart or some other picture or whatever it comes up as when I click on edit and what I want to know is how do I remove the chart or sheet at that point.

Thanks DMK and Doug. Ya know what I love about this forum is that I can get almost any kind of info I want or need right here by just asking. This place is better than the Encylopedia Brittanica.

I did have a question Billyjoe. I just hate to kick a dead horse. I saw that your entry was at 25.11 which I thought was a pretty good spot for your entry. You had decent upside to the play, about a 1.19 gain from your entry on whatever date that was. Then you let it get away from you without protecting those gains or some portion of them. I was wondering what you were thinking during these last couple of days with the position? If I have it wrong or missed something I'm sorry. Please correct me if I did miss something. I know there was the thing with earnings etc. I used the 15 min. intraday chart to illustrate what I saw over the last two/three days.

I had ECOL by the balls today and didn't take the gains off the table. It opens on a strong gap up at 22.50, which is 2.20 above my entry, and I should have taken the money and ran or at least half and ran but I let it go and gave it back and then some. Still up in the position but I let a great opporutnity get away from me. And I'm talking to Billyjoe about why didn't he protect those gains he had in MOT. Not much to write home about today. Shorted FMD at 17 and had some decent gains going but it reversed to go over my entry and then close right on my entry. Still holding the play. Gave back a portion of the gains on ACOR today but still like the short play. It's fighting like hell to keep it's momentum but it couldn't make it over the top today and kept falling back from making it over the top. I think there is a selloff into any show of strength going on. I've got some gains between todays close and my entry. I would let it go to my entry and breakeven before I stop it out. FMD fell and came back and fell again to close right on my entry point. My feelings are still to the short side from here. No other plays today as nothing hit any of my trigger points. Here's the spreadsheet:

Nasty reversal on the ECOL, ski...

                                Billy joe,

I just finished listening to a show on that you should not sell on gap downs. They said that usually within 5 days the gap closes. Now I know for a fact that does not always happen but with a gap down I think you should atleast wait the one day and then place the stop below that low. I guess we will see how that one will play out.
