ELN up nicely today. Is it just because of general good pharma news or is something big about to happen? Has anyone heard of ELN big success in Canadian trials ? Where is King when you need him?

I'm in at 15.75. My logic being that if you look at the 15 min. chart today you'll see that one of the most recent highs was at 15.79 a couple of days ago. I was looking for it to breach that level this morning before I made the play. I needed to see some of the beef before I could do it. Anyway I wanted to be part of the overall karmic force that will drive this stock up. Now there are 6 from the spreadsheet that have it in their ports. And we're all praying for it to go up. You can't beat that.

What kind of LT value do you see in it if you only like FA?

Single digits long term. They seem to be running their business with a credit card. But they have shown some improvement in margins over the past few year so if that trend continues the stock price may stabilize. Kinda hedging my bets here. As for only liking FA, I don't believe I ever said that. I may have given that impression but I always look at charts and see if they make sense given the fundamentals. In jdsu's case, they both jive.

Again, I could be way late to this party and don't usually like to chase a stock, even if it is falling off a cliff. That's the only reason I took this trade, ie it does appear to be falling below support and its coming right after they've done their reverse split, which was suppose to provide support for their stock price.

Good luck with that one. I have it somewhere and its been growing mold mostly. I've grown to hate amex stocks....except on the short side.
Speaking of which, IOC should be a good short entry right here.

I do hope that tge continues onward and upward so I can unload the POS and hopefully breakeven on it. I'll be watching p'nut for his exit point since he's got much better timing than I do on this one.

IOC has weakened considerably thruout the day..the company is very good at going tit for tat with stocklemon, but I tend to agree more with Left's arguement that the company's in trouble.

Billy..they were approved in Canada for selling Tysabri for MS, but that was in early October. The strenght today is most likely the pre-earnings run. They were also allowed to re-market Tysabri again in the US back in June after having it pulled earlier this year and the stock did nothing but go sideways. The big, $64,000 question is whether or not to hold thru earnings. I don't have a position but if I did and I had a decent gain I'd probably dump it, or at least hedge it by writing calls. Good luck to you guys..hope you get a few more points out of it before Wednesday.

I had several changes to my list this morning. I stopped out of ACLS at 6.98. I didn't have a stop in place but was watching it fall and when the physical stop isn't set in place to do it for me I always have a harder time doing it myself. I forced myself to cut it loose this morning to honor my stop. Why have a discipline if you won't honor it if you have to. I entered SMSI at 16 and ELN at 15.75. I missed AVCI at the 7.20 level. It was a newsbreak play anyway. I like the stock and am keeping it on the watchlist for a possible play next week. I think I may see the levels, 7/7.20, I'm looking for next week or even later today. The stock is fundamentally strong but was a newswire play this morning and I missed it on the gap up at the open. It never came back into my target range so I didn't get a chance to make the play.
ECOL has been a terrible play for me because of my own doing. I didn't control the trade but let the trade control me and l lost a great opportunity in the interim. Had the big gain at 22.95 and let it escape me. I could have sold anywhere in the 22.50 to 22.95 levels and then re-entered again this morning at the 20.40 range. Almost where I bought it. To me that is like taking the 2.50 gain and then getting another 2.50 bonus on the drop back to 20.40 level for the re-entry. I sitting here now with .30 gain now after all of that.
ACOR short moving down some and I would expect the Friday effect to help it fall further before the end of the day. FMD short moving down nicely today. Down 1.81 right now. It needed this consolidation before it could continue back up.

I apologize for posting this here as its probably not the best place, but I like this thread so.... I'm nibbling on the short side of jdsud. Piece of crapola company that is only good at playing games IMO. I don't think they've ever made any money, but I could be wrong about that. The one thing they're good at is growing their share amount....6% annual growth rate in shares over the past 4 years, while their net tangibles have been decreasing at an annual rate of -27% over that same period. Piece of shit, but my timing could be off, it often is.

JDSUD a great short in my view. Fuzzy C failure back in June...in a 3rd impulse down now, falling from a descending triangle. A daily close below 14.50 only strengthens my bias. A weekly close below 12.00 secures 7.00. A monthly close below 7.00 or a weekly close below 5.00, and it's toast.

ELN is #23 upgrade on barchart.com. Upgraded 72% today. That's a very good sign. What do you guys think about bailing before earnings Wednesday if we get some points before then?

Billyjoe, good question. I think I'll scale out if my target area should hit on ELN. I can't remember off the top of my head where I got my stop in but if my target gets hit I will scale and place rest at break even on ELN. If this stock does melt up I'll just continue to trail higher until stopped out. I don't have a clue about the 72% upgrade. Not sure if that means anything or not.
