I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. DMK,
Bought some at $11.06 an am sitting here watching and wondering if I should get out before the close or hold over the weekend. I just set the stop at $11.70 an am watching to see what it does. Also pondering whether or not to take the money and run with ELN. In from $12.75 on a nice chunk. What would you do being that it is Christmas weekend and next week is going to be a short week and probably not much interest with people closing out alot of stuff for tax purposes.

I didn't get the words out of my mouth an it started to slip. I'm out at $11.70 an it's down to $11.20/11.30 range already. If it goes below $11 I'm going buy it again and take it over the weekend.
Ski, check this out. I found this on the Aussie board. Those guys are crazy...
Webs,
Big party tonite with a bunch of real old friends. We get together every year the night before Christmas Eve at this one guys house who has a real nice place with all kinds of toys. He'll have it catered with the best of everything you could want to eat an a open bar with anything you want to drink so they'll be drinkin and smokin and jokin until the sun comes up tomorrow. It's the one night a year that I let my hair down. Only thing is that all of our wives will be there so there will be alot of eye daggers flying back and forth across the rooms. It'll be fun though with a bunch of 50/60 year olds telling our war stories an every other kind of BS we can think of. There will be about 8 couples there an we all bring something nice for him. I'm taking a bottle of 1986 Caymus Special Selection cabernet from my stash. It's a top California cabernet and my last bottle of Caymus. It's at least 21 years old an if you could find one is worth at least $450. Hope it's still good and not vinegar. Anyway I just have to be ok and ready for church tomorrow at 4:00 PM. It is a nice prelude to start the festivities for this weekend closing the week out with the ELN position and the daytrade on Doug"s SIFY. Have a Merry Christmas an a safe and Happy New Years Webs. Wish all them buggeroos down under the same for me.

Would this be a stretch with the EW? I think it will pullback before it goes up to much farther from this point.
lol well I don't thing anything is a stretch if it works! hehe I simplified EW to suit me, so counting that way (if it works for you) showing every count as an up move, then great! But show me lots of em and show me how you can use it before I'd comit to saying it's good.
But if you want to be more in line with traditional EW counting then you show the impulses as 1 impulse up, 2 impulse down, 3 impulse up, 4 impulse down, 5 impulse up, a corrective down, b corrective up, c corrective down etc.
So if you want to be in line with traditional view of impulses, you want your wave counts to be like this:
Waves within like this
Then there's combos like this:
and
corrective patterns;
To Sum Up
The attractiveness of Elliott Wave Analysis is : Three impulse wave forms and six corrective wave forms are conclusive. All we have to do is to identify which wave form is going to unfold in order to predict future market actions. This is a bold statement, needless to say, knowledge of market historical wave patterns and experiences in wave count are of paramount importance.
ski, I jus had a second look at your count, and I think I misinterpreted. You are counting 2 and 4 as impulse down moves, then a and c as down corrective still?? I think you are and I messed up what I thought you said. If you put the numbers at the points where the move finishes, (i.e. your 2, 4, 'a', and 'c' underneath the price) it'll be clearer to the reader.
And based on the assumption that that's how you're counting them, then yep, it's possible that the b up just happened to be higher than the previous 5, and now c down comes. BUT I STILL PREFER the original weekly count I have, which shows the 5th prior to the breakout on the weekly, and the breakout being the new 1 up.

Spike,
I've just recently been taking a couple of online tutorials and reading up on it the best I can. Trying to educated myself with the tool and far from using what my interpretation is as a viable analysis. But have been learning alot from your charts and your take on what I think I see. Thanks and have a great Christmas day tomorrow. Ed.

Spike,
I've been collecting California Cabernet's for along time and have a pretty extensive collection of great ones from as far back as the mid 70's but that bottle of 1986 Caymus Special Selection was one of the best I have ever drank. Only got one small glass of it as I had to pour it around to at least a dozen people who like wine. It's great to be able to share it with your good friends. Sipped it with some portobello mushrooms stuffed with garlic and crab stuffing. I had a case of it I bought back in 1989/1990 before the yuppies got into the California wines and have now driven the price an availability of it way out of range. That case is now history.
BTW, thanks for the EW examples. I appreciate them an really want to gain a better insight into their use.
Sold ELN this AM at $13.85. Will look to re-enter later
Stalking these 3: PETS - looking for it to pullback to $14.50/14.60 range.
SIFY - looking for $10.80/10.90 range.
DYN - looking for $4.85/4.90 range.
Looks like the drop will continue throught the day. Could provide some nice entries. Patience here will pay off.
Ended up entering PETS today after the intraday SHS neckline break. My entry at $13.99. Looking for the previous highs of $15.25/15.50 range. If it clears that resistance it could be clear sailing to $17/18 range or higher but would be happy with $15.25/.50 to start. Will place stop in AM at $13.75 which will give me an r/r of .19. When I play them in the POTW I like to own them just in case I win otherwise it's to disappointing.
