LOL. Stevekimlaw is one of the good guys. I'm still holding too. I just submitted a question there but got an auto-response that said the SA editors have to approve first. Don't see it yet. Has to do with Judge ruling on Validity of Lang patents on basis of obviousness.

Took a shower. Came back to see halt lifted and VRNG trading just like a biotech stock on good news. Should trade higher tomorrow after this huge sell off (I hope) and judge's rulings on running royalties. Time to go vote.

Trial Update: Verdict In - Vringo Wins

Infringement determined against all defendants on all claims. Patents are valid and there was no finding of obviousness. Damages: Running Royalty based on 3.5%. Jury awarded $30 million in damages covering all defendants. It sets up for Judge Jackson to use that figure for future royalties. My guess that the total all-in to Vringo is going to be $550-$600 million.

10/15/12 open-4.78 high 4.78 low 4.45 close 4.66. As we approach 5, all hell could break loose. High today 4.42.

VRNG now 4.25. At 4.50 son #1 cashes in. At 4.50 son #2 cashes in. Me, I haven't thought that far ahead yet.

I'm the treasurer of our local historical society. Around the turn of the century some ner-do-wells attempted to rob the local bank. Upstairs, at the phone exchange, the all night phone operator aged 14 slept on a cot. The bad guys gagged her, tied her up, and tried to dynamite the bank vault but it didn't work. They left town and were never caught. The girl lived to her 90's dying in the 1980's. Too bad nobody recorded her version of the crime. We do have the newspaper stories. Imagine today a 14 year old working the midnight shift alone . Times have certainly changed.

Love your stories billy. My grandmother had one of those tall black phones with the speak-into piece on a pole and the hearing-piece attached by a cord for holding against your ear. No telephone exchange needed. Our number was 55535. Re. the 14-year-old, we didn't use locks on our doors.

Heh. Just fine. Ready for another ciggie but worried about having to go outside (downstairs on deck) for it. Assuming you all saw this latest from edvacourt re. latest jury question:

"Ok folks...this is getting better. The question is...If we assign a cash amount now is that in addition to the running royalty rate. Judges answer was yes but he goes further because the jury is instructed to pick a damages amount for each defendant. We already know that they have asked how far to go back when considering these damages and this makes what they are considering just that much clearer now. My guess now is that in addition to running royalties we see a considerable damages figure as I suggested in an earlier post. The judge has instructed them that if you have made a determination that a running royalty rate or lumps sum is to be used then you must go on to fill in all of the damages (by defendant) on the verdict form #3C. I'm getting excited and you should be too."
