Well, the big story this week is the blistering move by BillyJoe’s UTHR. As Frank Zappa would say, “Great Googely Moogely!” UTHR, our long term leader, and only consistently green pick now has a comfortable lead that will be hard to overtake. Congrats BillyJoe on a most excellent pick. In second, is Mr. Market’s TLPPF followed by Jiesen’s QDEL. I think at this point, especially with the holidays approaching, it’s just going to be a jostle for second and third, but we shall see. Stay tuned fellow pickers, and just remember that you gotta start young if you’re gonna stick it out.

PotY Contest Standings As of Market Close, Nov 18, 2022

I apologize for not posting last week, but I’m back to make up for it and bring the latest in bad news. Since the middle of Oct, the Dow has made a pretty impressive run to the upside. The NASDAQ and the S&P? Not so much. The NASDAQ, in particular, continues to hurt and has only managed a modest sideways consolidation during the Dow’s run. Hence, tech stocks, for the most part, have continued to fair poorly. How has all this effected our standings? Not a whole lot. BillyJoe’s stalwart UTHR remains our leader and Mr. Market’s TLPPF continues to hold down second. Antioch’s Dad’s AAPL moved back into third place. Only UTHR is in the green and beating all three indices. It’s coming down to the finish, so if any of our laggards decide to make a big move, it better be soon. I won’t hold my breath.

I picked some of that GBTC up at just under $9 now, and I think it can run right back up to $15 or $20 by the end of this year, easily. It's now at a 40% discount to the value of the bitcoin that it holds, simply due to the other shady characters running bitcoin scams!

That’s right folks, while BillyJoe’s UTHR remains our leader with a stout 37.98% gain, Mr. Market’s TLPPF went green this week and is beating all three indices. With COVID cases spiking across the country this Xmas season, I would think QDEL has a great chance of spiking up 30% or so by the end of this month.... was up to 98 earlier this week- so I still think a green finish is possible for me yet! (Maybe not the >40% pop that it'd take to beat Billyjoe, but at least a 2nd place finish if things work out just right)
