Well. I know what happened. I was using attached auto trailing stop instead of regular trailing stop. Next I need to figure out what's the difference between the two. At least, that's the lesson I learned and I wont make the same mistake again.

      Aci

      Spike,
Would you care to comment on the prospects of ACI? I'd like to know if you think she's topped for now, or anything you care to post.

      Thanks!

Hey Yaoyao. Bummer on that one dude.
Here are some links that answer your question.

Over 100 order types and algos help limit risk, speed execution, provide price improvement, allow for privacy and help with market timing.

And remember, the order is native on TWS, so the exchanges don't see them....just IB. Do they use the info to their benefit?

I'm seeing 68.00 channel and rising as a good target. Nice money flow, potential runaway gap there. I don't think it's topped yet.

Way to go. Here's the pattern I saw earlier this morning :

                  Any update on NGS?

There's the upper channel tag on the daily today, but it's already expanding, and there was a 'boom' earlier this month. So in the circumstances, you'd be justified in holding it long with a stop either under the gap, or if that's too loose, under the ascending line at say 17.40ish.
                  Hi Spike,

Baased on todays action so far, do you have an update on NGS?

                  Thanks!

BHMC--is it forming a cup with handle?

                      Dust

                      Spike,
Did you know that your dust is gold?

Remember a couple of weeks ago that you called an entry on VHPM for $9.79?
You jumped out after buying in, but I bought and sold it four times. The next day it moved up and over a week or so it hit $16. My conclusion: you're good!

hehe well thank ya. I remember that one alright.....doh. Four times on the way up for you, way to go!

In review, the pattern was a little odd, but hindsight makes me roll my eyes lol. Here's that intraday chart for that entry for the benefit of others. Remember people, the inverted SHS is a great pattern. Not 100% right; nothing is. But with a great r/r and discipline it is a definate edge.

Actually, further on VPHM; there is a channel turn up today. Assuming it closes that way, there's the green light for a long at the intraday pivot tomorrow to target the upper channel at 19.50 and rising.

I am actually looking to play NGS short - it's really out of whack in terms of how overpriced it is. Also, it's an IBD play, and sooner or later they all collapse.

So you think it can get back down to around the mid $18's on it way down during a channel short?

Also, looks like CIB is starting to recover nicely. Today had good volume. Where do you see short-term resistance there? $22.20 or $22.60?

                              You are the best Spike!

Hmmm, NGS is acting very bullishly with those booms. They reflect that the market is buying despite those channels. Shorting is tricky right now. Not quite ready but worth watching for those upper channel tags. Remember, money flow is solid good for it right now. I'm bullish on general market right now. You'll have to be nimble and disciplined with shorting. Some pretty sick charts out there include OSTK, PACT, SNDA, and ACEL. Imo they are all good short candidates. I've posted charts on all of them in this thread I think. Just glancing at them then they all appear very weak; ACEL in particular. Another good one is MSO. That's had upper weekly channel tag, daily tag, some gaps to fill, and the weekly candle is setting up to be quite a bearish one this week. Anyway, just thoughts, and timing is crucial no matter what you're shorting. It's all about r/r and shorting into strength and buying into weakness.

                                Good luck!
